To say that I have been fully engaged with the THF version of WIAWSNB would still be an understatement. I cannot get enough of this whole presentation, performance, video and audio.....

Well, the most recent is, of course, her most sophisticated take on it and extremely well performed (even when my blasted laptop practically suppresses her voice during the rock sections), and her AI version was when she sprang this gem on the AI audience, so it will always have a special place in our hearts.

But annoying as the initial recording is (the one at the yacht club?), vocally she does some really, really sweet stuff!

It's interesting to think where I have evolved with Haley. If someone would have proposed in the past that I listen to a band with a female lead vocalist who once was on American Idol cover a Zeppelin song, I would have called them crazy. If they would have told me I would enjoy the cover as much as I do, I would have called them insane. It just goes to show that miracles can happen.

Very interesting to listen to all 3 versions and compare. Each is appealing in it's context (and the evolution of the growl) but the latest version is so smooth and polished it really blows me away. She is really at the top of her "Rock-n-Roll" game in this performance and I think the band, especially Harry, is a big reason for the great result.

I can see there's a reason this was the last song they put in the setlist for the encore. In rehearsal I bet they could tell WI&WSNB would be the show-stopper especially when they added the Gong.

Had Haley not fallen during this on AI, I think it would have been considered her best performance. That's saying something..(What's also saying something is she's only gotten better..)

Her instant recovery from tripping on the steps without losing her place and bringing it home with style and grace made that performance even more important on Idol!

I still believe if she didn't glance up to see her dad as she added the lyric "Daddy, (trip)... be mine" she never would have tripped.
