Now that I think of it, I bet it had something to do with the size of my lens. MY camera isn't big, but has a zoom lens. penny's camera is smaller. Himm and Tusk got the same "whip lashing" as I did.

They would've hated me if I brought my mom's DSLR camera! I plan on bringing it to the next Halien party for better pictures

no large cameras were allowed. but the web site for Chicago Theatre says small cameras are allowed. see below

You may bring in a disposable or 35mm camera (with no zoom or telephoto lens),

I didn't think about the zoom since the camera is so small.
So, you could use your camera, but if the zoom came out, then it is a no no

Thanks for this post…I was listening to the concert through online radio, and while Irvin was announcing all the musicians during the finale, my power went out in my neighborhood (~11:05)!!!! At least I was able to hear the majority of the concert and Haley was fantastic!

Thanks to all for the videos and pics…I had a meeting for work and was not able to attend. The sound quality on Himm's video was better than what I could hear through the online radio…Haley looked and sounded great.

That picture was tweeted by Devin yesterday. I posted it in this thread then. But now I'm not sure when it was taken, or where he got it, as he has posted other photos that would appear to belong to someone who knows the Reinharts.

Tusk is with Himm seeing Harry and Peter project at Las Palmas in Mundelein tonight. Busy week for whole Reinhart clan!

OK - I've got the 20 minute Raw video I shot of Haley's three songs up on Youtube and I haven't gotten a copyright warning yet.



The EvilEye Camera Crusher Usher stuck her hand in my lens at the end of "Dream A Little Dream of Me" but I never stopped recording. Unfortunately because I had to hold the screen to my chest so she wouldn't make me forfeit the Camera most of the "Moanin" video is shooting the curtains above the Stage. She came back again during the instrumental part of that so she could chastize Babbs. For "Come Rain or Come Shine" I had to film below the railing on the front edge of the Loge since I couldn't raise the camera to my eyelevel...

But the audio of the whole thing is quite good and you can get the real feel of how it sounded to the audience...probably better than the website audio. I'll plug in a bunch of improvements for the DVD archive I'll burn later this weekend.
