I really wish one of her songs would go viral..at some point it'll happen.
It was posted at mjs awhile ago, that only resulted in a small bump, maybe a couple hundred. I used to like going there, but she's filled it with so many floating pop up ads and triggers that force the page to app store, (viewd from my tablet or phone) that it's excrutiating to get to an article , you're interested in. Not to mention that kind of activity is ripe for exploitation by virus makers, i find myself going there lessand less. I know readership is down, but the ad shenanigans she's allowing is not worth the trouble to go in and read her work
Sail is now less than 300 views from passing BGDays' My Cake. The song has certainly hit a chord with people...

Even if its not an actual tour there's got to be an audience for it.
When they were still on AI and until Haley was signed by Interscope--part of me was hoping Caley would team up and get a record deal together. Even back then, it was obvious there was tremendous musical and personal chemistry. It's not that I thought they didn't have the talent and then some individually. It's just that the music biz is so tough--especially when artists are trying to make it in the pop/rock genre. Even when you come off of AI. I figured if they formed some sort of duo/band it would give them the support of both fan basses (even tho there was some overlap) as well as create buzz. I don't think think there has been a group that has resulted from the show. I thought they could be like a jazzy/pop/rock Surgarland type of thing--or even a jazzier Fleetwood Mac. After all, 3 of them (Nicks/Buckingham and McVie) wrote and did lead vocals on the various songs/singles. Of course, after some success--they could always release solo albums as well.
I wrote about this on a couple of blogs at the time. It was met with disfavor by some--and others agreed.
A small band tour would be great. Casey plays plenty of instruments. However, I wouldn't mind if they got a bigger band together. They both know a lot of musicians. Casey has a very good guitarist and sax player he tours with at times. And Haley has Keith and others. It would be cool. Plus Harry--love him
Tusk-I see what you mean about MJs--lots of pop ups and stuff. I read about some new virus today that holds your stuff hostage until you pay to get it back. Crazy. I think I better back up my computer
PS--I always wonder what elements have to be there that results in a music video going viral. I guess it could all be social media driving it. But, I think at some point these vids get picked up by news outlets and the home pages of comcast/yahoo etc. Or maybe they just have to be really stupid-ha! Lately, there is one about what the fox says--lol

I think Haley's voice is so beautiful and pure, she doesn't need a lot behind her. I love her live…and oft times I'd rather just hear her sing with less band behind her...

When Haley was out promoting her album I would have preferred that she had a full band for more of that.True you get to hear her voice better but alot of the music wasn't really acoustic in nature and she had no backup vocals or any of that.
But when she performs with Casey it feels different. Alot of his songs feel more acoustic in nature.Plus when you get Casey you're literally getting a one man band-he covers so much between playing multiple instruments not to mention providing perfect harmony parts and his own distinctive vocals so with all that I don't miss having a drummer and all that.

Kaypea, I agree with you: Casey is "a whole lot of musician." In addition to the points that you made, as Tusk pointed out recently Casey provides an almost percussive element when playing guitar -- and sometimes when on bass. If Haley and Casey could tour together, adding Keith on keyboards and Jacob on sax -- with Harry joining in when he can, audiences would receive amazing performances! The versatility of all of those performers would provide diverse, but fabulous concerts!

Yes-when he plays guitar behind her its almost like the whole arrangement of the song is implied and even when he plays bass there's so much going on with their vocals that you don't really miss anything.
It would be great to be able to hear any of the combinations you mentioned about adding other players-We can all at least dream.
