I just noticed that the fund was only $27 short of going over 5 grand so I kicked in the $40 autographed photo that Penny & I split the cost on (she gets 2 of my DVD's as incentive). And I even remembered that I lived in Illinois instead of New York like I put on the first contribution.

It's a nice dream, Buzzer, I'll give you that. Just how realistic it is another question. $15,000 is a lot of moola, especially if it all went to nothing (like that lunch with Haley dealio). I'm happy with the thought of getting a new video down the road and in the mean time adding a few more trinkets to my collection. There will be other concerts and such in the future. And besides, I am very happy with the experiences I've already had (Pet-A-Palooza, the Cosmo shows and ESPECIALLY the Halien Shindig). Sorry if I sound like a downer, buddy. I've never been the big dreamer type.

I think you're on the right track, Swan, I wrote a much longer post about how if you extended out the idea, you will see that this is MUCH more complex than Shindig 1 , where all we had to do was travel, hotel and show up at Himm's after attending a FREE show. But deleted it, suspecting that what I wrote will be misinterpreted as a sleight

BGDays, the venue, the audio visual set up, the event, covered most of the 'performance' challenges we didn't have to think about for Shindig 1

If a workable plan was mapped out, within everyone's budget, factoring contingencies, including that there may not be contribution from a 'benefactor', then we can move forward, other than that, It's not accurate to compare this to Shindig 1, other than it's a way to watch Haley perform together.

I just think 15k is not a small amount, I guess I can't stop you from putting that up if you feel you can get compensated later for it, at least find out IF you can guarantee that compensation along with having to call everyone to collect on it....
I just think it's a major gamble if you're wrong...

For my part, I will be happy to donate for a personalized thank you video, maybe the hand written lyrics too.

I expect that things will start happening sooner than later, where attending a Haley show won't rely on so many moving parts, just to enjoy a show...

If plans move forward for this idea and turns out to be workable, I'm sure I can find a way to do my part.

I can totally see the possibility that maybe Harry and Himm2 might be able to arrange something similar to Shindig1, perhaps occuring at the same time Haley is perfoming in the area for some a local event (which we might get 'inside' heads up on ) that we can all enjoy without the risks, challenges and cost of this particular idea
