I am totally enjoying the career path of Haley Reinhart. She has brought a lot of joy and entertainment to me and my extended Halien family. I hope to take advantage of all the small venues she will appear at, because it gives me greater access to her incredible talent...how selfish of me. Slow and steady wins the race...

What better perspective is there than what Tony Bennet shared with Haley..."you've got to keep on singing, no matter what"! Probably add in songwriting too for her. What a magnificent talent Haley is! Tell me all your theories about Haley's career and climate change (had to throw that in ) and I'll Listen Up...but I could be distracted by the sweet sound of Haley's voice. I'm along for the long haul...weather permitting.

A forum is not a forum without opinion.....

I'm reminded of those who yell "If you don't like it, get out of this country", to which I can reply, the Founding Fathers constructed the Constitution to allow dissenting opinion (freedom of speech) as a way to prevent government tyranny over the people. It is through discussion of all sides of opinion that we can best understand the situation and ourselves.

(As an immigrant to this country, I'm often reminded of how Americans take the Constitution for granted, that often those who came to America looking for a better life, have a better grasp of it's formation than those who are born here... )

I'm not adverse to discussing opinion contrary to my own. I'm getting the feeling that people are misunderstanding my posts. I'm not making any judgement on Haley or how she choses to progress her ideas. If by now, you don't know how much I'm behind Haley, then you haven't been paying attention....

I have uttered the phrase "In Haley I trust" a number of times....

I'm merely suggesting that fans who are not as patient or have a different opinion on how she has gone about her business shouldn't be judged as a 'bad fan' just because they don't have a "Haley can do no wrong" opinion. We are not somehow, 'better' fans than they....

I'm assuming that the 'bad fan' reference has to do with Kenny's posts.... I'm not a fan of his, I chose not to follow him on Twitter because of his gregarious ways. That being said, I do believe he does honestly support Haley, he just has a 'different' way of expressing it. Let's put it this way, if he's such a bad fan, why do you think both Stageits, he is the one fan Haley performed his request? "At Last" and "Precious"... We have Kenny to thank for introducing "Precious" to us.... think about it.... Apparently, Haley is OK with it.... who are we to judge?

Inclusion, not exclusion....

As long as they ultimately support Haley, that's all I care about, even if they're not happy about any particular part of her decision making....

You don't need to worry about us misunderstanding your posts Tusk. That's not what's happening. We are simply expressing our Outlook for Haley's future. I admire you going to bat for us vs. "No Wits" lunacy. I just don't wish to bother in a futile attempt to try to redirect her confused focus.

I don't really post over at IDF any more, the only reason I was over there was to try and drum up enthusiasm for the project...

NoWits had also actually stopped posting over there as well(Trolls don't exist unless there is irritation that they can feed on) and voila, here she is again.
(For some reason, she really likes to set her target on me ... figures, that's the type of female I attract lol )

The derogatory remarks started coming again. I didn't want them to sit there for all to read, maybe convincing others, without some kind of retort.

So instead of shaking my fist and yelling 'you're wrong!" , I thought it was a better strategy to offer more positive possibilities to counter the negative ones, let the reader decide based on strength of argument. I was trying to convince not only my 'opponent' but also whomever might be reading.

As you know, I'm now very mindful that there are many people who read these things but never post. I meet a few of them practically any time I go out of town to see Haley. They want to tell me they appreciate that we offer a way to follow Haley, since there really is no other source at the moment. It has changed how or what I decide to post.

So my intent wasn't to 'take on NoWits', rather it was to propose reasoned counter to the negativity that was building there so that anyone reading can decide on their own.

I know I'll probably get side eye for this, but NoWits did make a valid point. Haley needs to do more if she is serious about raising funds for her project. It is we who have pushed for Pay pal, it has been us tweeting links to the project on twitter and else where. Give us a reason to keep pushing for contribution, give us something so we can convince others to contribute too....

Haley could do easy stuff, like the sample song vines she promised us months ago, she could do quick you tube videos, maybe even a short Stageit to promote the project.... anything. If she really wants to take this thing seriously, there is no excuse to have done practically nothing for it so far other than the video. The donations have slowed down significantly, Haley's absence of involvement doesn't help.

I've tried tweeting her to nudge her to offer something...

It's gotten so bad, even NoWits feels pity for us:

It's a pity that her few real stans seem to be busting-ass on twitter trying to make their donations turn into something, by promoting her - I can't read those anymore, as she should be paying these people for all their hours and ideas.

I want to see this project reach it's goal too, but 15 days into it, 1/4 of the given time, sitting back and letting her fans do the promoting will not get it done (OK commence calling me a bad fan ....)

Your not a bad fan I wonder about her not getting involved to, is there a strategy to this that we don't know about. That would make her out to be lazy and I don't think that's the case.nor dose she want to sink her own ship.

And that's why I don't want us going down that path of judging fans because of opinions we don't agree with. Haley is young, how can she learn if we keep telling her she's doing everything right? If she can't listen to her fans who support her then who?

Remember what Haley said about all the opinions she gets? She says she appreciates them all and keeps the ones that are most helpful to her. As long as the opinions come from the right motivation, there is no reason that she shouldn't at least listen to them.

Of course we need to figure motivation KP is a fan, I have no doubt. He can also be reasoned with given the right approach. NoWits might be a fan, but would rather exert her superiority and establish your inferiority, so a lost cause
