Thnx guys, the video turned out a lot better than I had planned. I'm not sure I could repeat what I did to get the timing to work as well as it does. I did spend a lot of time listening to the song to get a feel for it, let it's vibe show me the way. That it was such a 'funky' version, the only 'plan' I had going in, was to go with a psychedelic/60's/70's vibe.
Chalk another one up to looking for and "following the signs" alongside Haley's Journey.
The inspiration (Haley, the music) deserves the bulk of the credit, I'm just 'moving stuff around' until it 'fits'

Nope, Vegas had a bass, though Keith brought the same funky style, but the Vegas performance didn't have near the same synergy, cohesion or energy
Alyce Paris, checked in with a donation (I'm guessing for the credit in the video), along with other smaller donations, total of over $400 for today
Haley thanked Penny who responded to Haley's tweet about the video

I finally actually got a couple donations through my video referrals. Up to today, I had over 500 referrals only bringing in one donation of $25  . 3 have donated through my link since I posted the "My Cake" video

Any donation is a good thing as the result of your efforts  but 500 referrals, I bet some of these people may not of ever heard of her and now they do - priceless . Good work- you are a trooper!

I've actually thought about tweeting something like 'donate what you can, $1, $2 or whatever, if you've enjoyed my vids'....
I mean, I've seen people donate cash not choosing a perk, you can just donate, just to donate.... but how to explain it in fewer than 140 characters?
(if each of the, now 589 referrals had donated $2, that would've been over $1k right there... )
but it feels a little petty to 'beg' for people to start an account only to donate a couple bucks
