I don't think that Haley was in any way a part of PB's thought process in producing the AI Finale, if he even knows who she is at all

I dunno. The last episode featured many former Idols. Not all winners. Someone reached out to them. "Strongly advised" could have come from people she knows through Idol. She spoke to people tied to the show last year before going to Asia. "Advise" may be all they can do now that she is officially free from the grip of 19.

We know Haley (and Casey) were favorites among the musicians and other Idol employees so the invite could have come through any one of them, not necessarily the executive producer.

Also true, but there is a different band now, so it's unlikely that an invitation might have come from one of them -- and, if so, what would be the likelihood of them "suggesting" that she and Casey are "strongly advised" to attend? Not much.

Randy Jackson??? Hmmm -- he might suggest something like that to Casey. Haley??? Hmmm --

Ryan?? Well, perhaps, so that too seems unlikely.

Haley's phantom manager -- again, perhaps.

So the possibilities dwindle down to either the phantom manager (Chiara) or her parents, neither of whom could issue the invitation. It is possible that the "strongly advised" aspect is separate from the invitation itself.

Well, at least we know the possible volition for her to change the shoot date to the (possibly) 27th, so we might get to be there

I'd say it's highly probable they are separate occurrences. She might have been invited after the interview, and the advice came after the invite. Harry said she was very disappointed to find out the Finale was the same day as the shoot. Then I got a follow up email, mentioning the 27th

'"'Strongly advised' to attend" is, indeed, very interesting, yanni, since "Uncle PB" (as Melinda Doolittle labeled him at the beginning of the season) seems exceedingly reluctant to allow screen time for any of the prior Idols to be on the show and perform or talk or .... anything. But now that "Uncle PB" has extended "invitations"?? that "strongly advise" attendance (that sounds like "command attendance/performance", not an actual invitation), what happens if they don't show?

I'm really beginning to think her nature is to always look on the bright side of things, I doubt that 'cutting ties' is what she would do. It's that side of her personality that hopefully affords her more and fruitful opportunities in the future, leaving options open

My interpretation is that she had already made plans to do the shoot and felt that had priority over what she might have thought was just a 'fun night' (AI) without considering the opportunities that may present themselves for promotion of, maybe the video, or her future plans and network for opportunity potential...

Someone probably just presented perspective, put it in it's context as a promotion opportunity, especially if things are really going to start moving forward in the near future
