I've been posting that it's possible Yahoo has an exclusive rights agreement with Haley that they'd be the only ones to show it for a time.... Remember Lyndsey Parker 'winked' at me when I tweeted if she could interview Haley for #SMYM. Then next day, it was her that had the exclusive debut

I noticed Touchtunes is in the ending credits as well, I doubt they paid $7500 just to be in the credits.

I imagine there was a lot of negotiations and agreements, given Haley doesn't appear to have management, there's a good chance that Haley was the one involved in them

I echo all the comments about the song and video! Haley really came through with a fun, catchy song reflecting her unique voice and style. It is the kind of song that could really help to expand her fan base and profile. It is also very cool that Haliens were part of the funding and the video itself!! Great job to all.

Does anyone know if there is anything her fans can do to help get her video played on VH1?

p.s. Hoping to hear this song soon in my exercise classes! So sick of hearing the same tunes.

I think this is a very thoughtful, albeit somewhat strategic, thing for Elise to do. Given that, while an AI contestant, she sang some songs that Haley had performed the year before to some unfair -- and unkind -- comparisons, it would have been very easy for her to ignore this.

But Elise knows how hard it is to make it in the music business, so here she is lending her support. That's a classy thing to do.

While you don't agree with it (and neither do I), it shouldn't surprise you: when it comes to music, most people want to hear what's familiar to them.

I agree. I exchange for the article, Yahoo got an exclusive on the video. If I had to guess, I'd say it's only for today & it'll be up on YouTube tomorrow sometime. ZZ had a similar deal w/ Billboard when she released "Last Love Song". You had to go to BB to see it the 1st day, then it was up on her YT channel the day after.

It's a good sign of things to come, that Haley is getting media coverage, right off the bat, beyond just the Idol related sites. Also at the end of the article there was a mention they'd have news of her upcoming sophomore album. I was very excited to hear that.

There was a tweet from Vicky Saunders, back when they made the donation, where she mentioned something about TouchTunes handling distribution of the single (something like that). I can't find it now though.
