Watched the Rob Rasner video....reminds me of my friend & former student, Bill Cook, also a magician. He, too, uses the bowling ball trick. I had the pleasure of introducing Bill to Haley's parents during last winter's Orchesis dance show at WHS where Haley's sister Angie was one of the dancers/performers. Angie was awesome! Bill was a year or two ahead of Haley. Bill has also been in an amazing magic documentary titled Make Believe...such stars we're producing from Wheeling!

Not to get off thread but I read the other day that the last winner of The Biggest Loser, Danni Allen, was from Wheeling, IL too! She got a $250,000 prize. Not bad.

Welcome Wheeling Park Commish & Haley's Peachy Teachy Sue. I remember that Orchesis night where Harry & Patti had to rush from daughter Angie's High School performance to El Sombrero for the start of their own gig delayed by a half hour (which I attended).
Two other prominent graduates of Wheeling HS are Kathy Ryg who became a 3 term State Rep for Illinois and John Leonetti who was the Loyola surgeon for my wife's first parotidectomy in 2005 which was fixed by a better surgeon a few months ago. My wife had a 4th surgery yesterday morning and now has an annoying catheter inside her cheek/mouth for the next 4 weeks.

Danni Allen and Haley Reinhart bring Wheeling fame
Wheeling is proud of Danni Allen, winner of "The Biggest Loser" and the village's second television reality show star in recent years, Village President Judy Abruscato said Tuesday.
"The national television exposure shows people the kind of people we have in Wheeling, and maybe it will get some companies thinking about moving here," she said. "I look forward to meeting her at a village board meeting that we will invite her to."

Wheeling's other celebrity, "American Idol" finalist Haley Reinhart, is a full-time professional singer living in Los Angeles. Reinhart, now 22, placed third on the 10th season of the singing competition in 2011. Since then, she released her first album "Listen Up!" which debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard charts, sang at Lollapalooza last August and appeared on an episode of "90210."

Reinhart is now recording her second album, which she will shop around to record labels, as she is no longer with Interscope, said her mother, Patti Reinhart. The singer also plans to travel overseas this spring for several performances.

I was wondering if I knew or had met thecommish since she was talking like she knew the Reinharts, and was from around Wheeling. Now I know. We've been getting a lot of "insiders" on HF lately.
