mega dittos from me... so glad both the inside and outside got recorded......the very concept of playing on the street like that is really somehow special and inspiring to me .... feels like such a freedom loving thing...
For me, I think why I love them so all comes down to my love of an emphasized shuffle in blues and an emphasized swing for some for jazz standards...
... when she and Casey slow the rhythm down to a molasses like measure to measure swing (popping hard on a few important notes and words every 3rd measure ?...with all the quiet of the space between the notes and sparcity of base just leave us mouthwatering ready for when she does "tell us what we wanted to hear" ( do you hear it that way?) . The little phrases and entries swing and or fit the shuffle.. but they're all part of that bigger shuffle stringing us forward.
I do a :

Of course it is Casey setting the groove with no one fighting him in a way that he knows just baits Haley into a sort of slow modulation that... again makes me swoon, or do a hamster dance.. or both ! ... the guys on the harmonias are not particularly adept at the instrument (to put it nicely) BUT they DO have a true feel for the groove.... and never step on the taffy stretch of the pace by infusing their own personal style (or maybe they have styles and guttural love for a feel that matches the leads forte's that Haley and Casey have firmly brought in). Casey's number one jack of all trades can be pretty bad at the execution level though.. even a bit too much for my taste if I had to download and listen over and over I'd be cringing a bit when I remembered a bad mistep near at hand. It is sort of endearing when you look at his face and can tell he forgot how to make the intrument play the note he wants to play....
Stilll... anyway.

I'd been contacted by a couple people who think that Monika might've mistaken me for someone associated with Haley, if not Haley herself. I have no interest in misleading someone for the sake of tricking them into more videos, so I DM'd her today to make it clear that I am just a very enthusiastic fan. She admitted to me that she is new to Twitter, so wasn't sure, but thanked me for the clarification.
I did point out to her that Casey's Mom tweeted her gratitude for the videos, but I think Monika may have lost incentive to make any more Haley videos, though she did post "Cry Me a River" before she mistook me for an associate of Haley. If she does post more of Haley's Room5 performance, it won't be because she thinks "Haley" asked her to.
Sorry guys, but Guilt is deadly to an overthinker, it just felt right to clear it up instead of leading her on further to get more videos out of her.
She replied to Casey's Mom's tweet (since she knows, now, that it is indeed Casey's Mom) to convey her recent confusion

As a matter of fact, that part of the crew had to work their a$$es off. I've said several times that the high winds were ever-present, you can also see it affected everything in the images that have been published. OTOH it contributed a 'dynamic' look to most of the images. The original "wind machine" (think Rhiannon  ) , Mother Nature.
So there was a guy who was solely responsible just for that, the people manning the reflectors. They probably had the most physical of tasks outside of the acrobats, because they were constantly being barked at to get the right angle to reflect on Haley, fighting the winds the entire time, while baking in the desert sun. The crew was pretty impressive the amount they got done in the time they had
