Haley, Casey, Jacob... 7-19-14

Casey and crew got to the site around 12:30 and stayed all the way until the end, after 8. I have a feeling they didn't intend to be there that long. If they'd known they would be near the last scenes shot, they wouldn't have arrived so early. They were in the suits, mostly waiting, for probably an hour or so, give or take, but it never appeared as if it bothered them too much.

Looks like another fun show! That's a lot of talent on one stage!

I guess if I ever want to see the Ginger Bread Band and Haley I will have to go to LA.

It's nice that Casey still keeps in touch with Jacob. I haven't heard much of anything about what's he's been doing since season 10 ended.

Loved hearing some of the short videos. Maybe a longer one will pop up on youtube

Casey seems to be the center for a lot of the Idol get togethers. He's the one who got DeAndre and Hollie to audition again for American Idol, and he still stayed friends with Caleb. It's nice to see that.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I was also thinking about how Casey stays friendly with so many from his season. (as well as making friends with idols from other seasons) It def is nice.

The Gingerbread Band sounding & looking about ready for primetime aren't they? I hope some vids w/ Haley, Jacob, Bonx etc., were recorded that night.

An interesting fact about "Wore Out My Sole" which may or may not be common knowledge among Haley & Casey fans, is that Casey co-wrote that song w/ Ian Barter (and probably recorded it in his studio as well). Ian worked w/ & was friends w/ Amy Winehouse especially early in her career. He has multiple credits on "Frank" as a musician/conductor & played guitar the 1st time she appeared on Jools Holland, debuting "Stronger Than Me" in Nov., 2003. He also co-wrote two unreleased tracks w/ her, "Trilby" & "When My Eyes" the latter of which is very popular w/ Winehouse fans. So there you have it Casey Abrams: 2 degrees of Winehouse.
