Good pondering John, Evermore would be awesome. Love to hear her take on Whole Lotta Love by Zep with the jazz orchestra backing her up. Maybe Crazy Little Thing Called Love from Queen.

I could definitely see her doing CLTCL. I nixed Whole Lotta Love because I felt some of the lyrics could be a bit sketchy for her, but with Haley who knows. Nirvana is tough because they seem like the anti-Haley; too dark.

Irvin Mayfield's New Orleans Jazz Orchestra to rock Led Zeppelin, Queen, Nirvana classics

On Thursday (Nov. 13), the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra headlines the House of Blues – appropriately, a venue that does not often host jazz – with a decidedly unconventional program. The orchestra will present jazz big band arrangements of songs by Nirvana, Queen and Led Zeppelin. Chicago jazz singer Haley Reinhart, a 2011 "American Idol" finalist, will front the NOJO on several songs.

Reinhart's participation in Thursday's show is the result of an impromptu jam in 2011, when she was on an "American Idol" tour that passed through New Orleans. She stopped by Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse in the Royal Sonesta and joined him for an intimate "God Bless the Child"; a YouTube video of the moment has rung up over 140,000 views. Mayfield subsequently invited Reinhart to guest with NOJO at Carnegie Hall in New York and her hometown Chicago Theater.

Her father, Harry Reinhart, is a veteran Chicago rock and jazz guitarist. Given that pedigree, Mayfield said, "she was like, 'I have to do this concert with you guys.'"

Don't worry Miguel. I do believe Haley is already in New Orleans. Probably already rehearsing for the show! Haley's just a little late posting those pics from Canada. lol
