Tusk - On Thursday (Nov. 13), the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra headlines the House of Blues Chicago jazz singer Haley Reinhart, a 2011 "American Idol" finalist, will front the NOJO on several songs.

As with the other Haley/NOJO collaborations, I expected Irvin to add performers as we got closer to the show....except for the opening band, as yet, no mention of anyone else but NOJO and Haley

Seems it would be tough to add a last minute performer to this show since these songs involve unique arrangements of songs that the NOJO probably has never played before.

I've been to the House of Blues in the French Quarter of New Orleans. It is quite the venue and totally rocks. You can't get in to see the auditorium/stage without a ticket to the show. The whole experience of New Orleans centers around entertainment and food. You can't really put a dent in all the options for dining with the 7 trips I've made to the Big Easy...but I gave it a good run for the money.

I really would have loved to be there in the House of the Rising Sun...but I have the feeling I will get another chance to see The Slayer in a return engagement.
