Jordan Davis explained his development deal this way:

The way the deal is structured, Davis is still being shopped to labels. “What’s so cool about ole is that they have the ability to get me a record deal, get me on the road and allow my music to develop. We have been in talks with producers for recording an EP. They pay for this upfront, and a label can then buy the masters from ole. My publisher is my manager/ publisher/stylist.”

Oh, so they are looking for a label for Haley before it's released. That would be why it's taking longer. (Still hoping for Capitol)

That would be a good one! They had the Beatles; they have Sam Smith and Tori Kelly right now. I think Atlantic Records would be great for her too; a lot of their artists are singer-songwriters with that retro fresh sound to them: Bruno Mars, Christina Perri, Jason Mraz, etc. She's probably looking for one that gives her a good amount of freedom; that's probably what it's going to come down to.

Capitol doesn't seem to have too many artists, so they would probably give her a good amount of attention.

Right. They also seem to be very good with the Freedom thing. (And with managing expectations.) Allen Stone is also a part of Capitol. And the label let Mary Lambert put spoken word on her album.

Atlantic also seems pretty supportive. And if BMLG wants to go pop, they're good too.

That's about it though, unless she went with a smaller one.

Can't wait for one of the best singers, writers, and human beings out there, Haley Reinhart to release her new album containing four songs co-written/produced by me.

The title track "Better" we wrote in Black Rock Studios, Santorini - and the magnificent scenery on the top of that Island couldn't be more perfect inspiration for this empowering song. I can't wait for it to be shared with you all!

He wrote a theme song for a Disney "prequel" to The Wizard of Oz that Mariah Carey performed:

She came in and the rest of it became a very intense collaboration through email, through management and then of course the big marketing people and the director of the video [Raimi] and brand strategists. It became very complex at that time, and I wish we could say we all sat in a room together, but it was very back and forth. Sending lots of MP3s, lots of lyrics, hearing lots of different vocal passes as the song sort of came together in its last moments.

...She picked up what we started and made it — not only made it perfect for the film, but really made it perfect for her. Towards the end of the song, her vocal performance is exceptionally good.
