Hmmm -- is he working on something or just teasing his European audience? (In truth, I suspect it's the former; he doesn't come across as someone who would entice people to come hear him by dangling the prospect of performers who won't appear.)

I'm interested in who "Diabolus" is- they seem to be spending a lot of time hating lol. The compliments must be positively painful for them.
From previous comments, I know it's a woman who seems to have a musical background. She is likely envious. Comment on Stacey's Mom.

Can't say I was impressed by the song (nor the silly tart sitting on the bar ... Why??!), but the video made up for it when Adam came in and took over the bass (except for the melodica ... Watch the intonation difference between the melodica and piano, boys!). Got to love Adam - so much cheeky-boy charisma. But, Scott is the one I want to entrap between my sexy thighs.

Top Bloke, I don't know if that's true or not, but I don't wish Scott and Robyn any bad luck. But, if Scott is single now ... Well, I'll definitely be waiting for him when he's on tour in the UK! By the way, I'm not a boy. I'm a woman.
Miguel, to say she's envious is an assumption. While I would never describe Haley in the way that "Diabolus" did, when I first watched the vid, my initial reaction (regarding Haley's presence) was "what's the point?" Musically, it didn't improve the song (had she meandered over to sing with Casey, I likely would have a different reaction); mainly it came across as a distraction to those performing. To me it just came across as gratuitous. Yes, yes, I realize that's blasphemy to Haliens, but, you know, once in a while, it might be to Haley's benefit for others to know that one can be appreciative of her talents and what she seems to be as a person, and still maintain some objectivity.

What a particular voice, really good!
Sir Buzz, I'm going going way out on a limb, and guess that our Italian friend (Il Cavaliere di Platino) was not using "particular" in the way that your associate(?) meant, when referring to your "particular sense of humor." On the other hand, given the handle, I do think "Italian" which means this individual might have been hearing opera in utero. Thus, that "he" (I think -- one never knows by these internet handles) is impressed is -- well, impressive.
Like some others, I don't care for the song Habits itself, but on first listen, the rendition seemed good to me. I was pleasantly surprised. I think originally it had been stated that it would be in a "ragtime" style, and this isn't ragtime. The 30's style works better for Haley's voice but there is a weird juxtaposition between style and lyric content. Haley sings it well, of course.

It's funny MAE when I looked at that phrasing I almost posted something about "going out on a limb..." Perhaps the better word is "unique."

Video metrics
During the first 7 hours the video was up it averaged about 3,336 views per hour (assuming the view count is a reasonable indicator). I watched over the past 3 hours and the view rate has been 5,000 views per hour. Prime time.
It took about 1 hour to gain 1K "likes". The second thousand took 1.5 hours, the third took 2.5 hours, and the fourth took 3.75 hours.

Ladies and Gentlemen...the fabulous MAE I know my canine-like ears can hear things way beyond human recognition...and what I am hearing in this Habits video is too good for human consumption. That's my particular take on this newest Jazzfest Jambalaya...so tasty and so good!

I read that comment without a second thought as something between the three words unique and memorable, and complex ... a flavor enjoyable to chew on ... a bit different than "notable" but also close to that . Or, something like "this Merlot has a particular flavor of it's own"
... and my leap to a meaning like that could have just been a wrong but I have spent some time in italy and took a semester of Italian so .. lol maybe it's not just a wrong impression.. i hope haha.

RE: Haley making a video with Scott Bradlee and PMJ
As for the song, I take the point of the song to be "You're a part of me I can't put aside" with all the terrible things mentioned more like a mildly sarcastic hyperbole
...
it's a different generation but basically the song isn't all that different
I'm not saying Habits isn't more vulgar but they way it's sung I take the message more like this:
Quote:My story is much too sad to be told,
But practically everything leaves me totally cold.
The exception I know is the case
When I'm out on a quiet spree,
Fighting vainly the old ennui,
And I suddenly turn and see your fabulous face.
I get no kick from champagne.
Mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all.
So tell me why should it be true
That I get a kick out of you?
Some, they may go for cocaine.
I'm sure that if I took even one sniff
It would bore me terrifically, too.
Yet I get a kick out of you.
I get a kick every time I see
You standing there before me.
I get a kick though it's clear to see
You obviously do not adore me.
I get no kick in a plane.
Flying too high with some gal in the sky
Is my idea of nothing to do.
Yet I get a kick - um you give me a boot - I get a kick out of you.
Sure.. Cole Porter had a list of things they mostly didn't do.. although that spree part sounded like the singer wet his sorrows some but quietly... and I think the "flying to high" was a bit more than just being on a plane. And the "fling" with a "gal" is sort of in the league with picking up dads in the park ... not quite but both exploitative for their day..
I know the words are a bit more vulgar but the way both Tove Lo and Haley Sung it didn't really sound like they were actually going to the extremes ... sometimes people say things in a way you know they're being a bit humorous and thats how I took it...
... not quite like saying "i feel like shooting myself" when you forgot to bring the project you worked on all night into work... but sorta

RE: Haley making a video with Scott Bradlee and PMJ
I think when you describe someone as a "silly tart" it's not objective. I wonder if the point was a more of an "easter egg" type of thing. Regardless, it's not even of importance, other than a cute "Hey look who it is" for some of Haley's fans, so for the person to point it out..it seems...personal..and not at all to do with Haley's talent. (Which of course, the person wasn't fond of.)
I like Haley's version a lot. The clash between the lyrics and the sound reminds me of "pumped up kicks" in a way. The song sounds classic and classy. Haley's phrasing is old school and perky. And her emotion to the song seems to go with the arrangement ( a happier one) verses the depressing lyrics.
But I don't think it improves upon the song. The arrangement, the lyrics, the voice..they are all in sync in the original, and it's a wonderfully catchy and unique pop song. IMO, as a fanbase, we want to stay as open and as positive as possible. No need to downplay the original.
Haley sings enough adult content songs (like..the led zeppelin song book..) that it doesn't bother me. She's also confident about it and making those choices on her own. (It bothers me when people are pushed in that direction. Haley's not. IMO, she's always owned her sexuality. Even when Idol tried to objectify her.)
I also think, it's likely that this won't be Haley's best cover.
