Haley touring with PMJ -- Feb 2015 - March 2016 (& March 2017)

By the comments on Twitter and Instagram, there are fan groups lobbying for their favorites to be at the #PMJ stop in their city, there's no guarantee Haley'd even be in any of the stops ( the one's near LA/Chicago most likely )

Since I'll be seeing #PMJ in London, I'm not completely sure if I'd see them in Seattle (Maybe if Haley is coming ), so I'm hoping that by that time, Haley's preparing a small tour of her own to support her EP

Carnegie Hall, Chicago Theater, NOLA and now the O2 are shows Haley sang/will sing only 2 or 3 songs. Those shows have "signicance" to them, made them special beyond just her performances (at least to me). Given my druthers, I'd much prefer to attend a show that Haley's headlining, or at least able to do a set of songs, more than a couple songs

I agree, Tusk. For me, both Haley and Casey would both have to be performing and I'd want to be very clear about the rest of the show. If Von Smith is a part of it, I definitely won't waste time, money, etc.

BTW, I was looking at various Casey sites this afternoon, and unless his schedule isn't up to date, it looks like he'll be coming home after the PMJ show in Paris. If that's the case, it would seem unlikely that Haley and Casey will take over the AATB part of the show. (However, at least Caley will be able to say "we'll always have Paris." )

After seeing the North American tour schedule, I'm slightly surprised to see that the Seattle show will precede the Vancouver show, and then they head south again. I suppose that it's because they are coming from Colorado and adding those extra 150 miles (another 3 hours) just makes a performance at the end of 2 days traveling that much more grueling. Of course, it could be the availability of a venue in Vancouver a day earlier. Assuming they will be traveling by bus again once they get back to the States, that tour is going to be tough, especially once its west of the Mississippi. I don't envy those performers any.

And, Kevin, the group performing in the States may be a very different group than the European tour.

Yes. As I said, there are likely legitimate scheduling reasons for it, but it certainly is puzzling "geography-wise."

I am delighted that Haley will be joining the tour in Europe. I think another video would be great (with the right song and arrangement). And I wouldn't mind her doing a few gigs with PMJ in the US. It is all a good thing -- but only to a point, and then it's not. This is Scott's group, as the tickets make clear.

Well, yes, that would certainly make me head the opposite direction. (Given that Scott seems to collect young-ish, trendy types to tour with him, somehow I suspect that Puddles won't be be at the forefront of his thoughts, when assembling the N.A. tour group -- no matter how much Puddles may like/want to be a part. Forgive me if that seems too harsh.)

And yes, it's in both Haley's & Casey's best interest to pursue their own careers once the show returns stateside. It's great that they are both getting the opportunity to get their faces, names, and mostly their talent known "on the other side of the pond" right now, but in the long run, it might not be in their best interests to tour with Scott's group once it returns. (Although I would imagine Scott might like having one or the other, if not both, join the N.A. tour. Their appearance would likely help increase audiences.)

For the record, I want to say that Von Smith has a perfectly lovely voice. But for me, he doesn't have a clue about how to make a song interesting. The thought that keeps recurring to me when I listen to him is: "he makes vanilla seem exotic." I hope for his sake, that someday he'll figure it out. But maybe those who think he's the cat's meow don't need anything more.
