LOL I checked out the original Maroon 5 version.... not even close, PMJ's arrangement faaaaar superior and Morgan's vocal pyrotechnics at the end LIVE

*Fun fact: "Maps" was the first live PMJ performance I saw when Morgan, Ariana and Mykal performed it for mic check in the UK. I got a partial at the UK show so was hoping to get the whole performance this time around. Thank goodness I could do a little something with the audio. It's not perfect, but cleans up by the time the song gets going, and that ending by Morgan, let's just say I'm glad it's now in my library

At Laguna, Haley told me she 'really' wants to do the tour in Australia, but it will depend on the EP's release date as well as any plans to tour to support the EP

Although it's not officially, 'official' that Haley will be with PMJ during their tour through Australia and New Zealand, the odds and signs appear to favor that she will be accompanying Scott and Fam "Down Under"

That being said, Miguel could just move the thread to PMJ's if Haley doesn't end up on the Australian leg of the tour...

Maybe I misheard Haley when I was talking to her at Laguna about possibly touring Australia w/ PMJ, she said she wants to tour Australia because, (paraphrasing)... "Gotta get my name out there..."

My initial reaction was, does she not know how much fans from abroad are dying to hear her sing live?

Without fail, whenever Haley has just done a show, I will see a tweet saying she needs to be in XXX city, when she JUST did a show there. Do a show at Carnegie Hall, a tweet saying she needs to come to NY will inevitably follow

I think that's the sign of the times with the US music listener's mentality. There's an expectation of entitlement, the double edged sword of the YouTube video, the ease of copying a digital file. People who say they are fans but will not buy the iTune or go to the show, but feel that they are showing support by watching the video, the 'view count'. Consuming does not necessarily mean $$ for people in the music industry.

It's the conundrum the music industry (musicians/producers/song writers) has to figure out. The one trump card singers like Haley and Morgan have is that listening to their iTune, seeing their videos, will never be better than hearing them perform live.

It relates, a bit, to what Scott has built. His use of social media, his active engaging of his fan base, and the fan bases of his performers, creates a connection that means repeated attendance of their shows.

By now we've all seen how a PMJ show goes, yet they sell out their venues. It's not unusual to see that most of PMJ's fans have seen multiple shows, sometimes during the same tour. I've seen 3 myself, a friend of mine, who will be going to a show in Australia (hopefully videos ) told me he's been to 5 PMJ shows since May.

So there is a solution to awaken the lethargic fan, connect with them, sell them that they will have a good time, guaranteed, and they will happily pay for that experience.
