If I was in NOLA tomorrow and it was raining, I would stand out in the rain with Jana Smith to see Haley Reinhart with NOJO When Haley was in Wheeling for her hometown visit during Season X of IDOL, it was pouring cats and dogs Haley and her parents band Midnight performed on a portable stage that unfolded from a truck and they were under a canopy. Haley & the band stayed dry, but myself and all the other Haliens stood out for hours getting soaked to the bone waiting for Haley to arrive, and to see Haley perform at Arlington Park racetrack It was so worth it Love you Haley

Buzzenator, I wish I was going to attend Haley's rehearsals at IM Jazz Playhouse and her performance with Irvin Mayfield and NOLA tomorrow night

Penny...I was just thinking about New Orleans. I was there a number of times for the Jazz Festival because it coincided with a networking business group that I met with twice each year. We picked NO because it has a lot to offer...party town, music, food, warm weather, golf...always enjoyed attending. They literally have to hose down the French Quarter in the morning...the after party smells and leftovers. Being a newbie to the whole experience I would sometimes be walking from the French Quarter back to my hotel by myself late at night, only to learn later that it probably wasn't a very good idea. Fascinating place but at night always travel in a group.

So...you are right on...would love to be back with a group of Haliens adding Haley & Harry to the mix of NO. How fun would that be?

I was actually just in New Orleans for my first visit.We actually avoided The French Quarter-at least at night.It can get pretty insane.For music we went to Frenchmen Street which is right next door and in the space of one block there are probably a dozen clubs where you can sample all kinds of great music and not spend much on it and not have to stay up all that late for it either.Its a nice mix of tourists and local color without the insanity of Bourbon Street.
