Haley Reinhart and Postmodern Jukebox have done it again, taking a contemporary chart-topper and rearranging it in impressive fashion. Granted, “Oops!…I Did It Again” isn’t exactly the most current song to rearrange, but then neither were Haley’s other contributions to the channel, “Lovefool” and “Creep”. But those turned out exceptionally well. And the result isn’t much different here.

Haley and PMJ offer up an enticing performance that is equal parts classy, current and sexy. This is due, in large part, to the stated mission of the cover: “The amazing Haley Reinhart is back, and this time, we’re reimagining Britney Spears’ ‘Oops!… I Did It Again,’ as if it was written for another icon — Britney’s idol Marilyn Monroe — decades ago.” So, naturally, there’s an old fashioned vibe to all of this. ...In the end, what we have here, is yet another wonderful piece by PMJ that will be played on fairly constant rotation as I work, because Scott Bradlee's arrangements are amazing, and as always Haley Reinhart's vocals are just the right type of wonderful that makes those long nights at work seem a little more bearable....

Pop music cover band Postmodern Jukebox and singer Haley Reinhart recently performed a beautiful vintage Marilyn Monroe-style cover of Britney Spears‘ hit song “Oops!… I Did It Again” from 2000. The cover track is currently available to purchase online via iTunes.

I honestly don't understand the love so many have for Haley. She is by far my least favorite singer PMJ employes... It's not just that she doesn't enunciate her vocals in literally any of her songs I've ever heard her sing, she also sings like a goat. She bleats out her vocals in a way that is completely unflattering and doesn't do justice to the great voice she obviously has. You can say this is 'artistic style' but I've never listened to a singer that left out entire syllables in their words while singing. Painters still need to paint something, sculptors still need to sculpts, if a song has words, a singer should sing them.
