It is pretty messed up.  Of course, this particular FB posting by Scott has 41,622 shares at this point and they keep coming. Some people just put the video on their page or tag friend with no comment, but many do comment and what the say is overwhelmingly positive. The negative stuff is sometimes a bit confused and off the mark.
FB is different than YT in that people are typically talking to a friend or a small group of friends, and they are talking amongst themselves usually without seeing the other comments (since they need to be searched out). On YT you will see the influence of a comment on subsequent comments (wording, theme, etc.) but that is not there on FB. Occasionally there are remarks about her pronounciation or some other complaint, but the comments are independent of other comments, and as a result people don't start picking up on negative themes.
The FB video currently shows 2,185,660 Views, so it is making the rounds. It is a fun rendition, and I think that makes people inclined to share it. There are a number of comments to the effect that the person is a little embarassed to enjoy it ... like it's a guilty pleasure. Quote:I saw this yesterday and had to re-watch it.. OOPS! It has more than 34,000 Likes, which is more than it has on YT.
One can typically see the picture of the person sharing, and visit their page if you want, although people can set privacy tighter if they choose. I'm struck by the diversity of the people sharing the video.

Normally I don't like these types of covers because the singer doesn't do anything different with the lyrics or the sound of the song and it's just the band that changes the tune. But this girl is flat out amazing!
