Morgan's cover of D'Agelo's Black Messiah album was mentioned a few weeks ago in a podcast that featured Dave Chappelle, Q-Tip, Leonardi DiCaprio and Chris Rock.
Rock mentions the "white girl's acoustic version" shows "The songs are so much better than you think they are."

Well, based on the negative comments on Morgan's YouTube, I thought I was in the minority. After listening to the originals and then Morgan's, Morgan's was, IMHO, hands-down, without any doubt the best and really showed what great songs D'Angelo had written. Glad to see this post.
