Adele started becoming popular in the US in November or December of 2011, with "Rolling in the Deep," which Haley happened to have performed on the national platform of American Idol months before. The same thing happened with "You and I." It was released soon after Haley performed it on Idol and it got super popular afterwards.

The Haley "Bump" there was definite impact to sales for Adele after Haley sang RITD and Y&I gave Gaga a running start for when she eventually released the song

(Yeah, I'm biased and wearing my Haley tinted glasses.... )

I recently finished working on a commercial in Prague and filmed an ITV drama with Suranne Jones. I was lucky too because while I was auditioning and filming the Wrigley’s Extra ad, I was spotted by Management 360, the big US agents, who look after people like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Anne Hathaway, saw me and asked me to sign to them in the USA.

Now they have lined up a series of pilot auditions for me in LA at the end of January. So, hopefully 2016 will be a big year for me – and all because of a chewing gum advert!

Been keeping an eye on the playlist of my local AC station. Their daily plays for Can't Help Falling in Love have doubled since Haley's appearance on Idol on Thursday. Every previous day (except for Valentine's Day, which had 7) had 3 or 4 plays per day. Now it is being played 7 or 8 times a day (about every 3 hours, since Friday morning). I wonder if this is the case for any other stations as well...

The HAC chart shows that CHFIL has achieved its peak audience reach as well as number of spins on HAC stations.

Positive "Bullet", positive "Bullet+" = Song is increasing (spins), and more rapidly than before (B=101, B+=12). That is compared to a week earlier.



On the other hand, it is slowing down on AC stations, which are fewer in number and reach than HAC.
