Assuming Scott has new Casey and Haley videos in the can, how does he time Haley's? Jump in soon or wait for the CHFIL excitement to die down?

Perhaps they hung the curtain as a backdrop because it improves the acoustics.

It could be another black and white video? That way it will look much better.

I do get concerned that Scott wants PMJ to go back to it's roots on the videos. The wacky, tacky, gimmicky stuff was fine when he had 50 thousand subscribers but there is no reason not to boost the production values a tad (the Joey videos were a step back, especially the last one). PMJ's big subscriber jump happened after he moved to LA and was not recording in his living room. I will be kind of pissed if the video frame includes the frame of the backdrop on a Haley video.

From an interview with Scott last January (h/t sonicscoop):

“I know a lot of people start that way, and then, when they have the budget, ‘up’ the production value. But I found there’s something very intimate about it this way. The static shot makes people look around the frame and notice the little details of what’s going on in the background—whether the bass player is making faces or what—and I think it helps people focus on the music and the performance.”

I don't think that has changed much, even today with 1.5M subscribers. Scott's videos are very utilitarian, selling the music and the tour experience. Even when he's being cheesy (Jacob on the scooter in The Heart Wants What It Wants, the dancers in Single Ladies), he captures the flavor of PMJ stage performances.

Yeah he has not made great changes. On the other hand, none of the videos recorded from 16 Sep 2014 through 16 Apr 2015 were in his living room. You could see the drummer in fact. But prior to and after there have been quite a few decent videos that were made in his living room. I don't see any need to get fancy but the visual side of that last Joey video wasn't so good. No need to go out of your way to look junky and cheap.

Having Morgan, Ariana, and Haley was the peak. They are irreplaceable. Maybe Scott can pull a rabbit out of his hat, but the odds are against.

I wasn't thinking so much about PMJ ending, but of Haley specifically. And Morgan is also doing her thing more and more. People like PMJ's shows regardless of who is performing, but problems can arise if people are wanting to attend just to see a specific singer. Scott is working to expand the roster of singers, which he needs to do. He may lose some followers or overall interest, depending on the quality going forward, and maybe the venues won't always be as big, but they can still tour. I agree that Ariana, Morgan, and Haley is hard to beat.
