SERIOUSLY how did she not win Idol first off ?. And why and how isn't she plastered all over the radios yet ??. Hayley has one of the most amazing raw voices I've ever heard since Janis Joplin. Very few can be on Janis Joplins level for me and Hayley soars past that. I've always been a fan of hers but this cover WOW. Listen to her other solo stuff she's amazing.

If you know me well, you know that I have a slight obsession w/ a couple singers that came out of those crappy competition shows. 99% of the contestants I don't care about, but I freely admit to loving 2 fine, talented ladies: Haley Reinhart, and Leona Lewis. I'm sharing 2 videos of the same song by miss Haley Reinhart. She covers Radioheads "Creep." Courtney check it out. I like the live version better, as I usually do, but am also sharing the music video so you can see her better and let me know what you think.

It's been one month since ChiCon. (so I should be posting this on the 25th but eh I'm nostalgic lemme have the moment)

One month since meeting new friends, one month since hearing Jensen sing Simple Man, one month since I was onstage for karaoke rockin' Shake It Off. One month after meeting my boys - the photos with Mark, Misha, Jensen and Jared turned out great and I'm in the process of trying to find frames for them still.

And then this song, taking on a whole new feel during the con. Coming back to Milwaukee with this on the radio, causing tears from nearly everyone in the car.

"Like a river flows surely to the sea, darling so it goes,
some things are meant to be."

And like the lyrics, I've found that to be true. Yeah, I may've been acting like Dean throughout that con, but that same attitude a week later at a halloween party is the same reason that song now has another different meaning but a month later.

Because yeah, it's the usual couple thing to do - meaning this is Katy and I's song.
