It has got to be the NA at the Dodger's home opener Tuesday.

My neighbor who is also a Haley fan told me earlier today that he heard an ad on tv that Haley would be on channel 5 (KTLA) at 8:30 Monday. I was skeptical but set the dvr just in case. Glad to hear that he was correct! John, I hope you're right and she announces that she'll be singing the NA for the Dodger opener.

Well, not the opener but Wednesday's game, which is cool.

Those local morning TV programs can be the most insipid things. Haley rolled nicely through the seemingly endless Idol chatter (it was good to see this interviewer was a fan of the RITD performance for a change of pace), and skillfully got in her FIFF announcement. Better was promoted, as was her appearance doing the NA for the Dodger game. Haley 2.0 is on the move.

Haley was showing that she is a pro on that show. For the casual viewer that remembers her from Idol, she comes out looking like the gorgeous doll they remember. The radiance is there along with a more poised, mature presence. She handles all the questions and navigates the interview to serve her own purposes in publicizing new music and projects.

In addition, Haley has a lot going on. Heck, she revealed two news things in the interview: FIFF S2 and the NA at the Dodger game. They didn't even touch on CHFIL, her summer tour, or her PMJ work. At this time she makes for a great guest on radio and TV - plenty to discuss and she interviews well. Oh, and she can sing.

KTLA is a Fox station, so it's natural for them to play up American Idol. An ideal video intro though would have led with snippets from CHFIL, then PMJ, and then Idol. That would have caught the attention of more people, especially those who have had some limited exposure to Haley. Perhaps obtaining the other footage is more difficult from a rights standpoint. But I don't think that's a concern if it's for a "news" segment.
