"Better" North American Tour (ended 6/26/16)

Seems like it was a good place for her and the band to get their feet wet and work out any bugs in the set.

Thanks for your thoughts Tom. I appreciate hearing your perspective and reaction to the show -- even if in attenuated form.

I was delighted when Haley tapped Jacob to play on the tour and act as her musical director. He is experienced and as some of the videos show in his work with Clay Aiken, he can sang. And he brought in some other musicians who can play and sing. While I love much of what Keith can do on the piano, Jacob is a fine musician who also brings other talents that are important. He is an experienced and talented musician, who can complement Haley and highlight her talents.

Thomas Drayton is certainly has the background to bring the funky bass line to her songs and seems like a good fit. Ray Moore has a unique and jazz oriented style on the drums, and he has a nice voice. John Notto seems to have matured and developed as a guitarist and band member since the first go round and I'm glad to see him back. Overall, I like the fact she is working with some new musicians and broadening her musical connections.

It looks like she is going straight up rocker girl on this tour, although I'd love to see some saxophone or other horns mixed in now and then, and a bit of jazzification.

It sounds like Haley's tour is off to a great start and I'll bet they tighten up and become really good as the tour progresses. I expect it will be a rockin' good time in San Francisco tonight.

I like the way she looks - there is something in her eyes that messages she knows exactly what she wants, there is a confidence and a commitment that comes from selfassuredness and conviction. It expresses itself in the way she moves and speaks, too.

I am not an expert but I like the musicians, they know what they are doing and it sounds and feels right for Haley.

Today I bought a VIP ticket to the Berlin show in September and it will be interesting to see whom she brings over. I wouldn't mind seeing her with a full band, but would also not mind if it were to be more intimate.

Thnx for the recaps and yes, I'm extremely jealous to not have been there for Haley's first night of her headlining tour, on the other hand, really happy for the Haliens who were there, as I'm sure you could feel Haley's thrill and sharing it with her fan

Notto has been doing a good amount of touring since the "early years", it's nice that his and Haley's paths have come together, bringing their separate experiences to their performances. I expect that they will sound even more FANTASTIC as they continue to work out the songs, live, together

I expect that the plan has to be to keep the crew together for the European tour, but there's 2 months from the US and Euro tour, alot can happen in two months. It seems there's a lot that is mercurial about the Path that lies before Haley, which makes her 'go with the flow' mind set perfect to ride those waves

Really looking forward to seeing her in LA. We received our VIP instructions and believe you me, I am more than ready to hear what you lucky few in Petaluma experienced

(PS how cool is it so many different Haliens are getting the opportunity to meet at her shows, and will continue to happen through the tour? I've had the fortune to experience that for a few years now and still am not tired of gathering and going to a show w/ friends, old and new )
