Considering opening up the voting for the PMJ Rounds today while we wait on the voting for the other brackets

Fun to see the divisions emerging! (Following your flow on twitter while I struggle past midnight with a text I have to write - nice distraction.)

Some are heartbreaking decisions to be made, some are clear-cut choices for me, some actually will make me go back and consider after another re-listenening with the head-to-head question of which song I like for what reason and how I rate that in the overall universe (nice side effect, actually!).

The Hall of HER Fame will not just have a gold medal winner but also great "division champs" and "division runner-ups". And of course the love of underdogs is part of the passion ...

Some people are upset at my selection method, but tbh, this was a spur of the moment idea, and grew from there. Every tournament needs 'Divisions, that PMJ had the minimum required songs made it the logical choice for a fourth Division, semi-finals matched up against Idol...as Listen Up! is matched up against Better... it all kind of fell into place, making sense as far as the over all set up

As far as the match ups, it's impossible to 'seed' the songs. IMO the method of seeding should apply equally to each division... how do you seed the Idol performance? Who's opinion? Someone suggested average views per day for the PMJ vids...but to apply that metric to the other 3 Divisions goes against a fair determination for each Division equally....

Therefore, for simplicity, expediency and clarity I figured the most 'fair' way to set the match ups was by random dice roll... I used this to 'roll the dice'.. different numbered depending on how many songs to roll for...

Yeah, I can see how one could come up with any number of smart ways to get to a "real" winner. But hey, I figure this is (besides just being a great deal of fun) just the way real life is: often just tough luck! Sometimes it happens that you are faced with nasty choices for no good reason. That the match-ups don't fall the way you'd like them. That chance and the dice dictate an early death for a beautiful favorite ... I think let's just go with the flow, have some fun, not take it too seriously (besides being totally serious, of course!) and see what happens!

Having said that, of course I'll never thank the dice for putting up Habits against 7NA in Round 1!!

Well I think I will be 0 for 3 but at least my PMJ pick got in. For me all is good since they’re all Haley tunes anyway. It will be a lot of fun to follow the outcome.
