I wonder,would have happened to Haley's career if Interscope had promoted it as it is doing today Concord?

It's been six years, eventually we have to let this go, and the American Idol 'dis'....w/o Idol most of us wouldn't know who "Haley Reinhart" is....Scotty McCreery, Phillip Phillips, both winners, are trying to get out of their contracts..... If Interscope didn't have a brain fart, Haley might still be signed with them singing Other people's songs, making THEM money. Concord, by most accounts, is a perfect fit for Haley where she is in her career, and invested proven and award winning talent to her project as well as resources like studio and musicians...

It's time to leave the past in the past...the future is bright, we have a new album, the 2nd in 2 years....a tour, the 2nd in 2 years....and Haley has a TON of songs written and is signed to a company, Ole, that takes extremely good care of their artists...

Let's move on, I prefer the brightness of the future than regurgitating a dark past...

These were not only Haley quotes, these are Haley philosophies. Haley is where she is now because she lives them....we should too

Here is the thing, she can't sing EVERY song with her raspy growly voice. I like this version...it is more quiet, understated, pretty in a way. I am sure there will be plenty of songs where she lets loose.

I sensed...especially when she sang it over in Europe away from Drew that was back in the states. and them sending LETTER texts while she was away...That she was singing it as a personal note with someone in mind and that's why it's a more sensitive rendition then a powerhouse version.

I think this video will have better approval from fans...it seems to me alot of the previous comments were about wanting to see the 'real' original Haley, meaning a video of Haley just singing, w/o the bells and whistles

I don't you're going to see Haley stray too far off track on the covers. They are all classics of the period which don't really need much, if any, enhancement. As an oldster I remember every tune well but I think there is a large percentage of the music listening public who isn't really very familiar with them at all. I think "What's that Sound?" is going to be an excellent time capsule of an important time in history, musically and otherwise.

How true! I've read some comments for BIY such as "I'm not interested in an album of covers". Come on! For a huge segment of the listening population, these are brand new songs to them. I know my adult kids (Haley's age) have never heard them on the radio-- unless it was on the Sirius XM station Classic Vinyl while in the car with me. On the other hand, there are quite a few people my age and older (who appreciate a 'real' singer) who remember these tunes, and will feel a connection to the album. That's the brilliance of Haley's/Concord's strategy. There's something for a lot of people.

As to the growling in The Letter, I think the amount was just right. She pulls it out of the bag at the end there, and it was awesome.

Indeed. The audio quality is impressive when downloaded. Love the horns. Love the background vocals. LOVE Haley's vocals. Love the vibe she's bringing to these songs. You can really hear the aeroplane when downloaded.

This record alone will make me dig out my oldie (but goodie) HiFi system with the big amplifier, turntable and 'stereo' speakers-- and set it back up in my office. Like a lot of people, I think, I now mostly listen to music in the car, via earbuds (from my iPhone), or thru the home theater system. This album deserves #BETTER it seems!!!
