Gary L. Shapiro, Ph.D. began his involvement with orangutans 44 years ago in the field of primate cognition and learning. He was the first person (1973-1975) to teach a symbolic communication system to an orangutan (at the now Chaffee Zoological Park, Fresno, CA) and the first person to have taught sign language to orangutans in the species’natural environment, the forests of Tanjung Puting National Park, Indonesian Borneo (1978-1980; 1981).

They spell wrong her last name:
Singer Haley Reinholt will perform and the band "Honey Pig" will provide live music early in the program.

They corrected it, and stated it correctly on this press release too.

The event will have live entertainment, including a performance by singer Haley Reinhart and the band Honey Pig. Indonesian dancing will also be featured along with some surprise appearances.

Haley's at this event today, Debi posted a couple instagram story, got a shout out, Debi even got Haley to plug her new album, she brought a disc to be auctioned off... Drew is there too. Watching it a second time, I noticed someone is playing CHFIL on the keyboards in the back ground of Debi's story w/ Haley (maybe Drew, didn't see that Haley brought anyone else there to accompany her during her performance)
