As 2017 draws to a close, what's next for Haley?
Note from Miguel: I started this thread by splitting a post from another thread.
Not sure which thread to put this, but with the PMJ tour wrapping up I wonder what's next for HR? With her tours out of the way I'm thinking we'll head into phase 4. Whether it be an album, EP, single, promo, movie appearance, advertisement campaign I expect it to come spring or summer. Haley moves at her own pace, but she consistently cranks out some type of project or release every couple of months. What are to come of her demos, songs from camps, cowrites with producers? Are we to anticipate the release of Time of My Life? Many speculations early on. I think What's That Sound? served as a good segway to Haley's next release. Showcased her voice and expanded her growing base (with the help of CHFIL, FIFF, and PMJ). I hope an original album is in the works and Hale's hits the studio after the PMJ tour. I am pumped and ready for phase 4 of Reinhart world domination.

RE: As 2017 draws to a close, what's next for Haley?
I expect arrangements have already been made for Haley and Concord to begin meeting to consider her next release... I expect Haley is excited to grab onto the reigns of this partnership w/ Concord and dive right into it. Unknown if WTS is truly a 'showcase' album to expose to new fans, or whether it might factor into their strategy, how well it does. That they had minimal promotion, Haley responsible for the making the videos AND it's a cover album... I expect the former to be the case, that the next album won't be affected by how well WTS sells
As far as her library of songs that's in Ole's vault, they are all potentials for syncing (advertising) or maybe be picked up to perform by another artist like Christina Grimmie and Jennie Lena.
Those songs are 'money in the bank'.....even if Haley doesn't sing them on an album, they retain value and potential....it's all part of the plan, laying a financial foundation to enable Haley the freedom to do what she chooses w/o worrying about touring half the year to make money....it's all about income streams

RE: As 2017 draws to a close, what's next for Haley?
So, I have not really posted in awhile, and this is a good thread for kind of end of year thoughts…so…
What is next for Haley? Well, the good news is that Concord (hopefully) is committed to Haley for the long term and is not going to push her for radio hits or big sales. WTS charted in the sixties which I think is great considering that there was very little promotion on a national level. And, the fact that the Concord President John Burk worked with Haley on WTS and named her as a producer tells me he has a lot of respect and admiration for her. It was also cool to hear that Haley had a lot of offers on the table and chose Concord because of its history and commitment to its artists. I think she has found a home there.
Regarding WTS, I really love it. I have found I am playing it much more than her other CDs, especially in the mornings, in the car. It is just fun to listen to and every song is a gem in its own way. Favorites? I love “You Showed Me” as her voice just takes me to another place. “These Boots” is tailor made for Haley. “Words of Love”, “Sunny Afternoon”, and “The Letter” are so much fun. “Let’s Start” had to grow on me, but now it is a real earworm—evoking Brasil 66, and I love the spacey tripped out video. “Somewhere In Between” is a lush dark song—very cool. And, I do like “Bring The Love Back Home” as well—it has a great singalong chorus line.
So, what is next—I actually think Haley is going to give acting a real hard go. She noted in one interview how she has received callbacks for things but could not do them due to music commitments. She has talked about becoming an actress since her Idol days, and I really think she is going to try and make something happen in that area next year.
As far as the next CD—which may not be for a while, I would really like to see her do a mix of covers and originals more focused on blues and jazz. Maybe something like a Norah Jones CD with a little more punch. Also Concord has a wide range of artists that would be cool for Haley to work with.
Anyway, as Haliens, we have to be happy with Haley’s continued success and growth as an artist. Three albums, a Gold Record, CLIO Award, two headlining tours in two years, and so much success with PMJ—the touring and millions and millions of views on YouTube. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the Halien Nation, and look forward to seeing what magic Haley brings in 2018.

Spotify has re-released those Hallmark Christmas songs under the name "Christmas Love Songs"; including Santa I Just Want You (same version). Can be found on Haley's page listed under appears on.

and music like this --
For a movie .. and see if it got traction from there... wouldn't fly from an album directly I don't think.
Thanks for posting my "Somewhere In Between" video from Minneapolis Tom.
You did a great job ! That particular song seemed to get the particularly good sound from the vanatage point (also loved that frame up for the first verses with her at one edge and mr W at the other edge of the light)..
... most appropriately of all (to my thoughts about a journey to the film soundtrak thing) you caught the comments about that goal of hers that she's been mentioning in connection to that song
(I'm not playing favorites though.. Tusk was the Helter Skelter one and I just post the ones that catch my fancy and are easy to link at a given time without much thought about who put them up (with their efforts) on Haley's behalf.)
