Haley Reinhart Album #4....

I'm not at home, in CA to see Morgan James, but my regular recording app kept on crashing on my laptop as soon as I tried to record.  I did record w/ my phone off my laptop, but it looks like they'll probably post.  If not, I'll tweet clips of answers

This album is unfolding for me like ever so many petals, ever so many layers laid down to form rock.

I think to hear this music live must be a thrill ride of a unique kind, full immersion in riches.

Has anyone noticed just how sophisticated the lyrics have become? They are artworks in their own right.

Kathleen Danes was previously known as DH Haley has been a long time fan and also writes for the local Daily Herald recently asked for Haley questions as she apparently scored an interview.

We were discussing LFS songs, Some Where Some How, specifically and she dropped this, making me think that she's already interviewed Haley

Fun fact: I told her I viewed it as a natural successor to “Undone.” She agreed and I believe it was written around the same time. Anyway, it’s an album standout for me.

On Spotify, of the songs that do not have videos, Some Where Some How continues it's early breakout.  It has almost twice as many plays as the nearest competitor. Shook is middle of the pack. Baby Doll is near the bottom.

Looking over MF8's old Haley Times and album tracker pages it looks like SWSH was probably written at the 2013 Ole Virginia Beach song camp. This song may turn out to be the organic single from the album.

I find the songs on LFS carry a lot of mood. They are very evocative. Her sound is very distinctive and the songs are full of unusual musical notes and effects as well as smooth vocal hoots, whoops, ooohs, and all the rest of it.  I wouldn't be surprised if Haley sees some good use of songs from the album in commercials, movies or television productions.
