I went form MySpace earlier to the Chiddy website. The "cut out" record jumped out at me as similar to a photo I'd seen on the MrSpace. Different in detail but the same retro thing. He seems to get excited about old, obscure records like the one from Boo-Ga-Loo Records.

Pallin's an interesting character and probably a real good match for Haley's style. I'm impressed the number and variety of people Haley has been working with on the album. She's been a busy girl and the clues suggest she's done some good work.

They didn't say what record. They first tweeted about "Ray Charles" back on November 16th when they said: "M7 writer @A_d_a_Mp3 killed it on the new Chiddy Bang single "Ray Charles" currently #84 on iTunes and climbing..." A video was released then as well, but the official video was published just two days after this latest tweet.

A tweet made by Haley's legal representative in response to Lane's tweet that Haley's music is "amaaaazing!"



Granted, she has a vested interest so she may be less than impartial. But she also represents James and Lauren and looking back at her tweets she generally tweeted news about them without commentary on their music. She certainly didn't say anything like this tweet that she made on Haley's birthday back in September:

I do remember when Amy Winehouse passed away that there was a discussion as to Haley picking up where Amy left off. It just might be. But I think Haley is more diverse than Amy.

I agree. And that tweet was made too early to have a good feel for what would be on Haley's debut album (though I read an old YouTube comment last night from someone who spoke with Haley on the tour that indicated they were sending her songs while she was touring).

But I do think the comment might have been based on conversations she had with Haley regarding where she would ultimately like to go and a belief in Haley's abilities based on what Steven Tyler and others had likely told her behind the scenes.

What I am wondering now that Haley is on the verge of releasing her first single with her album also just around the corner is if she is going to get a band? In fact, I would imagine that is in the process of being setup right now, but I really don't know?

As a matter of fact, I recall her once saying when being asked about recording her debut album back when she first got signed by 19 that she wanted a real band.
