Down an alarming 39% versus year ago...

"CBS and Fox tied for top honors with adults 18-49. But The Big Bang Theory drew a 5.2 adults 18-49 rating (up a tenth from last week) comfortably besting American Idol’s 4.0 rating for the common half hour. For the full hour, American Idol drew a 4.4 adults 18-49 rating, down 14% from last week and down an alarming 39% versus the year ago Thursday night telecast. American Idol will likely be adjusted up a tenth or two, but that won’t make up for the week over week drop, let alone the year over year plummet."

Could the Randy "15 minutes beaten to death" and the Nigel "Mr. Manipulation" be affecting viewers?

The dude has a great sense of humor...now one of my favorites, if I hadn't boycotted the show. I thought you were jerking my chain with those tweets, like they were made up...but it appears they are solid. I like the guy...and he definitely had the cowboy figured out.

He's definitely a funny guy. I think at first many people thought he was being inadvertently funny because they assumed -- since he is Asian -- that he was not culturally well-adjusted. Now we see he can not only play to the camera but be very witty with just a few written words.

If he wears a shirt with...Heejun Haley...the guy could go all the way. I gave him 10 votes (under the modified Buzz boycott rule) just because he is a Haley fan and is hilarious, besides the great voice.
