Haley to appear on 90210 on Tues 3/27/2012

The 21-year-old singer loved getting back to acting, her mom, Patty Reinhart said Wednesday.

Patty said Haley has been acting in theater and plays since she was 7 years old.

“I knew even then how well she takes on a character and I don’t even know it’s my own kid,” Patty said. “I enjoy watching her as a performer, I just get lost in it.”

Shooting started at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday and took most of the day, but Patty said Haley enjoyed the whole experience.

“She was so excited, it went great and that everyone was so nice,” Patty added. Although Patty couldn’t say too much about the scene Reinhart will be in, she said there may be a chance she would be asked to return in the future.

Well, maybe for someone guesting on a show and only guesting. (Because if the hours that I've read about actors spending on a set -- not necessarily at work, but waiting to do their work -- is not an exaggeration, then "most of a normal 8-hr workday" is paltry.)

I'll admit that I can be pretty anal about certain things, but the truth is few people (me, perhaps, most of all) use the English language correctly or well. For a very long time, I've been attuned to how the word "most" is "mostly" (yep, I had to go there) is used incorrectly. Usually, and in the case of the post that made me point it out, I do find it amusing, albeit technically wrong.

Chicago Daily Herald 3/1 article (updated):

"Reinhart will also appear on “American Idol” on March 22 to debut “Free,” a week before her “90210” appearance."

I always thought the Chicago papers never really gave her much coverage last year during the show and after...anybody else think that?

The coverage could have been better in the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times (maybe Lee DeWyze's run had an effect), but the Daily Herald did a pretty good job.

The (Daily Herald) is distributed in the northern, northwestern and western suburbs of Chicago. The paper started in 1871 and is independently owned and run by the Paddock family.

I can relate to much of this post from the TV|Line story on Haley's 20210 appearance:

Haley is like a pied-pipe for me lately, dragging me to all these places.
- I had never bothered to buy anything on itunes before wanting to hear more of her singing.
- Visited lots of sites like this one to find any new news about her..normally am notinterested in the pop enterainment scene but there were enough clips here and there over the months referenced to keep me searching.
- Learned about Irvin Mayfield as a musician
- Watched the Ali birthday show only to see her (but ended up enjoying the rest of teh show too)
- Got to realize that Slash, who I enjoyed in Guns and Roses when I was 18 and that music was comign out that fit an 18 year old, has moved on to a lot more things of different somewhat more mature mind sets than “sweet child of mine” (which I loved then.. just not where im at now )
- guess im going to watch the remake of 90210 .. never liked the first one but had to watch a dozen or so episodes due to girl friends interest in the show back then.

I can also relate. I would add getting on Twitter to the list. Being big fans of Haley has given us older folks a taste of what it's like to be a teenager these days.
