Apparently it was pre-taped but LIVE in front of the stage audience. This actually makes sense, especially if it was staged and set-up was needed... i.e... they probably wanted to make sure everything fit within that short timespan they have

MJ is saying that Haley was taped today........Ryan said live.......anyone know for sure?

They're saying it was taped with the same audience before the live show. I think that might be true only because they didn't show the judges during the performance.

Why is it we don't see tweets from people watching the performances? They tweet during the Idol tour.

Seems like a lot of her fans are doing a thorough autopsy on her performance. Come on people don't rip her apart. Don't be such harsh critics. I just hope people don't use this performance as a deciding factor whether they will stay with her or move on to somebody else.

I don't feel like Haley got enough of a reaction from that performance on Twitter. 19 didn't help with that stupid #freehaley hash tag. Ideally, "Haley Reinhart" or "Haley" and "Idol" would have trended naturally.

She put forth a heckuva effort but I don't think it's a song that grabs a live audience if they're not familiar with it. Maybe if she had sung it in quieter fashion with less movement it would have sucked them in.

Watching Lana Del Rey tonight compared to watching Haley is sort of like watching paint dry. Haley is just so much more entertaining, and I definitely could hear that all too familiar rasp we all love.

Can't wait to see the video though.
