Poor @Haleyreinhart s Dog JANGO passed away this week. Here is note from Patti Reinhart "Yes,Haley knows about Jango... i hated to tell her over the phone . He was her doggie, given to her for her 9th b'day gift, on 9/9/99 ." RIP JANGO

Named after Django Reinhardt, a Belgian jazz guitarist and composer. Her upcoming appearance at Pet-A-Palooza might be more memorable and meaningful now. It's good that she got to see him one last time recently over Easter.

Jango had a long life and was with Haley from the time she was a child to when she was an adult. I don't know what it's like to experience that as I never had a dog as a child.

But I recall being pretty torn up when my hamsters died (not the same, I know).

It's like a death in the family...it's always painful with the passing of each family dog. When you are near Haley's age and lose your childhood dog, the first time losing a dog, it is heartbreaking.

Hopefully, on a future album we will have a song named after and dedicated to Jango...with a jazz/blues/rock vibe written and performed by Haley.
