I will, however, kindly ask you to refrain from anymore rude, personal attacks on me, or anyone else you happen to disagree with. I respect Haley tremendously, both as an artist and as a person. If you're easily offended by the sexual elements of Haley's music and persona than perhaps you need to be more selective about which songs you listen to, and what comments/reviews you read.

To take it a step further, pointing out Haley's very good at expressing seduction and sexuality in her music, and suggesting she must be "one hell of a good lover" by extension, is certainly not an insult. Quite the opposite. Appreciating the art as an impressive reflection of who she is as a person is showing her the utmost respect.

Understand, I come at this by trying to put a perspective into this.

-Sensuality/sexuality is a component of Haley's professional persona. It is a part of performance and public persona. Haley, herself, is privately, somewhat shy and humble, from a 'salt of the earth' family upbringing. The Sensuality is in her performance, when she get's out of that persona, she reverts to a shy, almost embarrassed at her popularity, self.

-Haley's fans come from a very wide range of ages, from very young to fairly...."mature" . The young fans, Haley loves (from all public encounters I've seen of Haley and kids, you can tell she adores them).
Haley also has a significant number of , 'older', fans who are not necessarily technologically forward (so may not know you from Twitter), and more than likely have a fairly conservative attitude, and loves Haley's music as it is reminiscent of the music they listened to when they were young.

-So there we have the conundrum. Haley understands that her 'charisma' and 'sexuality' are tools in her bag, that she uses to combine with her musicality to reach the goals that she needs to succeed in the industry. She has to tread a line that allows for that, but not over the top to lose her young fans or her older, more conservative fans, by going OTT, "Lady GaGa" sexuality. Haley tries to communicate an 'old time', 'days long past' brand of sexuality, a sort of 'classy' sexuality.

Many of Haley's fans are sometimes overly sensitized to criticism of Haley by trolling haters who use her 'sexuality' as a way to call her slutty, or that she has no talent and relies upon being slutty. We heard comments like that for many months from haters, so some of us over react in Haley's defense when that kind of 'critique' comes along.

You, while being a very BIG Haley fan and supporter, have a 'brusque' way of expressing yourself, often being blunt and unapologetic about your opinions which, at times, include fairly sexualized references that sometimes may be perceived as 'unflattering' or 'rude', perhaps perceived as 'disrespectful' by more conservative sensibilities.

That comes back to the comments in your review. I know we clashed at IDF in your short stint there. I perceived your comments, at the time, as 'disrespectful' bordering on 'rude'.

I have since seen some of your tweets and posts around the internet, and understand that, you don't have the same type of sensitivities that many have, and so express your opinions on Haley's sexuality in a more... 'in your face' kind of way.
That might rub those 'conservative' Haley fans who don't know your way of expressing yourself, the wrong way. If I perceived your comments on IDF as 'disrespectful', I can see how others might as well. I understand your point of view alot better now so am not 'insulted', necessarily as I might have been back then.

To say he was the first to 'take offense' at your review is actually inaccurate. Someone at IDF, who didn't know you, had actually started a thread calling your review 'Creepiest review ever" . I actually posted in there to defend your Haley fan-hood, that your comments sometimes rub some the wrong way, and that you are VERY supportive of Haley.

So understand, this is not an accusation or meant to be anything bad about you or your fan-hood. Just understand that your more sexualized way of putting things do, at times, rub people the wrong way who may be overly defensive of Haley who mistake your comments with the haters who use similar verbiage. So maybe tone down those references a bit, or understand why sometimes people misinterpret what you say.

I appreciate your support of Haley over the months, I'm just submitting my honest and hopefully, objective, perspective on this before there is more misunderstanding ...

Thank you Tusk for your intellectual and articulate way of trying to make sense of what was said. I feel I didn't attack anybody personally it wasn't rude comment by saying that somebody is disrespectful but whatever what was said is said what is done is done. So the future when somebody starts talking Haley down I will refrain is much as I can to try to understand mentally where they're coming from. But I've been on this site for a long time. In fact I was there with the idle loonies and we had this person named James making personal attacks on Haley. So I've seen a lot personal attacks on Haley. And people can be as crappy as they want and say what they want online without having to worry about the repercussions of saving it to somebody's face in person if you understand what I'm talking about But you put everything into perspective so now there will be no more misunderstandings, so I will just go about my business in a mature way and try not to get rubbed wrong. Like I stated once before it's the father image me by raising three daughters and having to come to their defense by very rude and insensitive young men. I really appreciate your thoughtful reply, Tusk. It's true that I'm not your typical twitter fan, and that I can be very suggestive in my style and sense of humor. I realize some will take offense to that, and accept the fact that goes with the territory.

Like you said, Haley's sexuality is just one of her many talented components. She's not one-dimensional, and shouldn't be judged as such. I'm in the same boat in a way. When I comment on Haley's seductive qualities, it's usually with double-entendre because I enjoy engaging in intelligent, provocative humor. Many just don't get that, and think I'm degrading or disrespecting her. Those who do understand me usually appreciate the fun that I bring to the conversation and join in the banter.

I mean, a timeline filled with nothing but "OMG! Haley, why are you so perfect!" is so boring and redundant it makes me want to blow my brains out after awhile. I love the interaction that I have with my more sophisticated followers who feel the same way. I realize there's some people who will be offended along the way, but as the song goes: You can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself.

Anyway, if you read my review you can see that the sexual references are limited to songs where Haley intentionally uses her heat. She's selling it, I'm buying it, and it would be wrong for me not to acknowledge it. The songs that are not about seduction I review accordingly, too.

Same goes for twitter. If you know me, you know that I'm far from one-dimentional. Unless attacked, I'm sensitive to others, kind, and my entire purpose for tweeting is to make others laugh, smile, or gain a little thoughtful insight. Sometimes I'm sure I've gone over-the-top, but never, ever with the intention of hurting anyone.

Look, Haley's no prude, and she's pretty damn sharp, so I'm certain she appreciates my comments and humor in the spirit they're intended. When I met her we shared laughs about drinking out of a flask. She herself chose to follow me on twitter before her management team started with the bulk follows.

Anyway, I hope we can be friends now. If I do happen to say something that offends you, please understand my intentions were only to make you smile, laugh, or maybe appreciate a clever new perspective. NP I'm just glad to see fellow Haliens getting along...I just wish i could say what I have to say in a shorter way. I'm 'newish' to blogs, and have learned from Idoloonies, that I need to be as succinct as possible because interpretation is always suspect in this medium. Part of the reason I don't tweet.... I can't keep within it's limiting parameters LOL.

I have to admit to being jealous at your 'flask signing' . I still get annoyed that I forgot my calendar for her to sign when I saw her in Spokane. I printed up a page from online for her to sign. Unfortunately, she signed on the bottom half of the page where the calendar grid is, so the signature blends into the grid . I'm going to see her along with Himm2 (Steve) at Lollapalooza. Steven has offered to show me around Wheeling, so hopefully I won't forget my calendar then, if I get to meet her at the show...maybe get the whole Reinhart clan's signatures

He's our 'inside' man. I'm sure you're familiar with his Haley vids from Chicago or Wheeling.


The family knows him and he often attends their band's shows (going to one this week). He was able to get my Haley Calendars to the Reinharts (why I'm known as the Calendar guy)...Haley has one of the calendars with her. She recognised me by that in Spokane .

He's a good guy and has offered for me to stay with them at Lollapalooza, but I hate to impose, but I'll take him up on looking around Wheeling and eating at Chin's (?) a place Haley used to eat at, as well as the pool where she used to work.

Miguel, this site's admin, was Coined "Mr. Questioner', by Haley, when he was at the event in Dallas where we first heard HTGR (it's his video on youtube). Miguel asked a non generic question, and Haley remembered him when he got her autograph and called him "Mr. Questioner
