RE: "Oh My"
From the Daily Herald interview that was just published:
Quote:One of the album’s standout songs is its shortest. “Oh My!” is a sultry, sexy affair with a killer horn section, and it features a cameo by rising rap star B.o.B. But that wasn’t the initial plan.
“The song itself was very short. It was like a minute and a half,” Reinhart says. “So I made up another little breakdown. It was still too short. So the producer, Rob Kleiner, and I were like ‘What can we do to elongate it? Well, how about a rap?’ I was thinking about Andre 3000. Someone with smoothness. Then B.o.B’s name came up. He recorded it, it had the right slickness, the same vibe the song called for. When we heard it, we thought it was perfect.”

RE: "Oh My"
Toya’s World review: Quote:Yours Truly embraces this solely because it could easily have been lifted from Amy Winehouse‘s ‘Back to Black’. I’m a huge fan of the retro vibe, as well as that 60s Bond-style instrumentation. The track comes complete with raspy vocals and romantic lyrics showcasing some sort of giddy but cutesy infatuation. With the production being so dated however, this particular song may not be one that everyone “gets”, but I like B.o.B’s contribution to the track.
The rap and hip-hop element gives the song some appeal to the younger audience. On its own, it would solely appeal to Adult Contemporary listeners. I hope it’s a hit, and it deserves to be. But realistically, I can’t really say.

"Toya’s World is run by myself (Toya) which is a blog that integrates onliners from all walks of life. It gives them the experience and opportunity of sharing their love of R&B/Soul and Pop music with one another. The site draws attention to fresh new talent who deserve more credit and recognition than what they’re currently recieving. "
