A long time lurker Halien finally signed on at IDF. She's had some history with meeting the Reinharts and met Himm2 at the Chicago Hard Rock performance.

She also had the fortune to win a VERY unique opportunity as one of 10 winners to see Haley record a video at Akoo...Here is an account of her experience...very very unique

I think this is the lady I met at Hard Rock! She recognized me and said that I was the reason she won the contest...not sure why....but apparently she saw one of my posts and thats how she found out about the whole thing. We talked for a while and she told me all about the studio and how much fun it was. At first I actually thought she was Haley's mom! It was dark in the place and she looks almost exactly like Patti, but then I realized it wasn't her.

The best part, for me, of the anecdote, was Harry admitting that she is exhausted (as many of us obsereved), but that he was confident that his daughter could handle it, a trooper,...that she was born for this.

Harry wasn't and has not been the "clingy stage father type", the "control freak/he knows best for his daughter father type", nor the "grab some of your child's spotlight" fame by proxy father type.

Throughout this journey, Harry has shown that he has the confidence to let Haley make her own way, yet he and Patti have always been on the sideline whenever their little girl needs some advice or support...

I think this is tied to Akoo. Press release from five years ago:

I have funny story to share. I was one of the lucky ones to win tickets to see Haley at Akoo Studios in Rosemont, IL where she recorded a video and had a meet and greet with, on May 25th. 10 of us won tickets to see her.

On Thursday, Aug 2nd, I was at an Eddie Bauer outlet store buying a shoulder bag to use for my excursion to Lollapalooza. At the checkout counter, I started talking with an employee there, and mentioned where I was going, and he asked me what band I wanted to see. When I mentioned Haley Reinhart, he kind of laughed, got out his phone and showed me a picture of him and Haley. I knew the picture was from Akoo as soon as I saw it. I told him I was there too and remembered he was there with his brother, which he confirmed. He said he was a big fan of hers and wished me a good time seeing her.

Friday, Aug 3rd, while at Lollapalooza, I was right up front in the first row waiting for Haley's band to get set up.I started talking with people around me. I asked the girl next to me if she was a big Haley fan. She said yes and that she had even won tickets to go see her. When she said it was at Akoo, I couldn't believe it. I dont know if she remembered me, but we both had a good laugh about it. She even showed me her phone that Haley had signed that day.What are the chances of meeting 2 of the 10 "winners" in a big city like Chicago?? and within 24 hours?
