Student director puts modern spin on Shakespeare comedy

The musicality used in this version of the play was very intriguing. Rather than having music you would expect to hear in a Shakespeare play, Dixon decided to incorporate more modern tracks. For instance, senior Phoebe Phelps sang a modern rendition of The Ink Spot’s “If I Didn’t Care,” with the background track arranged by senior Lauren Zehner. There was also a cover of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” played in the background, sung by former American Idol contestant Haley Reinhart.

Not sure where this post belongs on the website but I wanted to tell you about a dream I had yesterday.

Haley had another hometown parade/concert and I was in the front row. Her hair was very different....dark brown, very very short (chin length), and straightened. The only song she sang was "Have yourself a merry little Christmas". Strange dream right?

This was my favorite cover of a Haley song (which is probably going to be a new thread here after the EP is out for awhile - I hope)

She is also a dancer and some sort of designer. Pretty talented young lady, has even been on stage as a dancer with Fleetwood Mac. Her real name appears to be Isa Hansen.
