* Surging by 25% week to week, "The View" stood as Daytime's #1 program in Women 18-34 (0.7 rating/221,000 - tie) and was the #2 program in Women 18-49 (1.2 rating/743,000) and Women 25-54 (961,000/1.6 rating).

* "The View" garnered 13-week highs in Total Viewers (3.847 million) and Women 25-54 (961,000) - since week of 11/21/11 - and a 12-week high in Women 18-49 (743,000 - since week of 11/28/11), posting across-the-board growth week to week, including by 10% in Women 18-49 (vs. 676,000).

Former "X Factor" U.K. finalist Rebecca Ferguson's debut album, "Heaven," has debuted at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 chart...what makes it unusual is that the sales for "Heaven" were not fueled by a hit single in the U.S., radio airplay or a U.S tour. Instead, Ferguson's TV appearances on NBC's "Today" and ABC's "The View" during the week of the album's U.S. release have been the bigggest boost to her album sales in the U.S.

This kind of promo is certainly a step in the right direction. Hoping she gets to do Ellen, too. And for all the naysayers, the first time I saw Lady GaGa it was on Ellen. Slow & steady is much better than a flash in the pan...

LOL...I was forced to watch Ellen yesterday with my wife, for about 10 minutes. I think there were 5 guys in the audience. I always thought she was a Haley fan, but I'm not feeling the love anymore. Time for Ellen to get serious about Haley...in a Platonic way of course.

Buzz, if you thought Ellen was bad, trust me, The View will be like eating glass. Just brutal. Then again, that's what DVRs are for! Just painlessly ffw to Haley, watch her sing, and you're done! No muss, no fuss. lol

Not so unusual, actually. Rebecca Ferguson's album went platinum in the UK prior to being released in the US. Same formula as Leona Lewis. This was Adele's formula, too. Obviously having a huge, international smash hit before releasing the album in the US is a pretty good indicator it will sell big here, too.

That said, it's a completely apples/oranges comparison for Haley's career path. Haley will need to make it in the US first, a market much colder to former Idol contestants than the UK is to X-Factor contestants. For Haley to make it big she'll need to take the path of critical acclaim and ride it hard, because as we've seen big label investment from Interscope will not happen until AFTER she has a smash hit.

Will it be "Oh My"? "Undone"? Or another? Wish I knew - The suspense is intense. But I do know that from the first time hearing Oh My I believed it would become a smash hit, and I still do.

In the UK, "19" debuted at #1. In the U.S "19" debuted at #56 and remained in the lower ends of the Billboard 200 for many proceeding weeks. After a performance on the U.S. show Saturday Night Live it rose to #46 and a week later to #11 with sales of 25,000+ copies sold.

Leona Lewis' debut album:

British import Leona Lewis' "Spirit" bows atop The Billboard 200 this week (4/05/08), making her the first U.K. solo artist to start at No. 1 with their debut effort. The Syco/J album moved 205,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan, with sales fueled by her No. 1 Hot 100 single "Bleeding Love."

Leona Lewis seems an anomaly.

"Bleeding Love" was the world's best-selling single of 2008. The single reached number one in 34 countries, including the UK, Japan, Germany and the United States. It sold more than 9 million copies worldwide, putting it in the top five selling songs of the decade.

In the United States, the single was released digitally on 18 December 2007, and debuted on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart at number 11. The song officially debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 on 1 March 2008 at number 85. The song became Lewis' first U.S. top ten hit, and reached number one on Billboards Hot 100 chart three separate times, each for a one-week run....(a video for the U.S. release of "Bleeding Love") was uploaded to YouTube on 30 January 2008.

That says the song became "Lewis' first U.S. top ten hit." It was the only top ten hit according to Billboard.

I don't think she is Haley's publicist either. There are many tweets about WB on her timeline but the first mention of Haley is, "This just happened" when she posted a pic of them together.

In any case, the interesting news is they haven't abandoned "Free."
They must see some promising signs regarding it.
