Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers as I recover. It's hard to believe that a tick bite could take out the remaining kidney function that I had. I just returned home this week after a one week stay in the hospital. We went through the whole range of emotions over the past 2 weeks. The first night in the hospital, and at that stage I was pretty delirious from the fever I had for 6 days, the doctors told Mrs. B that there was a 90% chance I wouldn't make it if I had what they thought I had. They would know the next morning after some tests. I don't remember that, but Mrs. B told me how close I came. Thankfully the diagnosis changed the next morning.
I might be down for a little bit, but I'll keep checking in here at HF for all things Haley, with a little side dish of humor. And don't be taking it easy on me...Buzz still needs to be kicked around a little just for the theraputic value and the fun of it.
