Hey Swansteel, while you anxiously await the release of the next Star Wars movie, maybe you should see if you can make it up to the Pacific Northwest for a new exhibit at the EMP: Stars Wars and the Power of Costume.

According to an interview with George Lucas, originally Luke was a girl, Han Solo was an alien, the Wookiees were called Jawas, and R2-D2 and C-3PO were called A-2 and C-3. Luckily for us, the role of our favorite gun-slinging space cowboy ultimately went to Harrison Ford.

The vivid imagination of conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie brought to life the characters and worlds envisioned by George Lucas. McQuarrie’s paintings and drawings were instrumental in the push to bring Lucas’ saga to the big screen, giving shape and form to a multitude of fantastic individuals, creatures, planets, and technology depicted in this epic hero’s tale.

The famous reveal of father and son in one of cinema’s greatest plot twists is often misquoted as, “Luke, I am your father.” The line is actually, “No, I am your father.” And while James Earl Jones is famed for providing the voice for Vader, he didn’t do the famous breathing effect.

Sounds very interesting, MAE! I gotta tell ya, while I am good at pacing myself, I can still hardly wait for next December to get here. I'm thinking there should be a full trailer for the movie probably showing with Avengers: Age of Ultron.

I've never gone to any of the EMP shows, largely because I've never wanted to enter (/reward) a building I find to be such an architectural atrocity, but the exhibits that are presented usually sound quite interesting, so who knows what I've missed because of my "integral obstinance."

I've suggested to Casey and Jacob in a tweet that we could go there when they come to Seattle... Jacob favorited, but I doubt they'd take me up on that offer

BTW, Swansteel, you should check out this YouTube channel, the guy has somehow been able to make the move to making a living being a YouTuber. He speaks on a lot of fan stuff including Star Wars, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and many of the Marvel Movies and DC comic book stuff

Oh. My. Goodness!! A new teaser for episode 7 is out. I got all choked up watching it and actually laughed out loud at the end. The movie looks soooo awesome... I can't even...

I'm one of the Star Wars geeks who cant' wait for Episode VII.
If you want to see everything wrong with the prequel (I-III) than google Redlettermedia Plinkette.
I tend to agree with most of the points about how poorly directed they were and am very happy that Disney bought the franchise and threw out George's ideas for the next trilogy. I truly think we'll have a much better story because of it.
