"CREEP" - PMJ studio version with HALEY

Its a new day-Haley at No.1 And this should have some staying power-being on the jazz charts its less susceptible to temporary whims like on the pop charts.And virtually everything else on the chart is either classic recordings form various artists -many of whom are no longer with us- or a throwback sound via PMJ.

Haley's version of this -and the sound and the arrangement sounds to me like a classic pop/R+B ballad from about 50 years ago.But whatever label you want to put on it,this is all pretty exciting for Haley fans.

I think this one takes PMJ out of the "clever and silly" category. It doesn't feel particularly "period". It's just a unique and actually moving cover of a pretty great song.

Love me some PMJ... but this one may be the best.

I am in love with this beautiful cover. Granted it's probably one of the most covered songs from the '90s but I love the style. (Minus the hint of Mariah Carey she does here and there)

Yes, it's risky. One of the best songs EVER. But, this is SO GREAT. Listen to the whole thing. She skats and everything. What a voice. As JLo says, "goosies."

not a lot of singers can pull off that kind of low-volume smokey goodness and power at the start of the song/verses, love it... and an amazing song to boot!
mmmm, dat third verse and chorus.... just wow...

Well, that's curious. This was the season that Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Alison Iraheta, to name a few, went through. I tried finding his AI offerings on YouTube. Only found his initial audition. Ouch! Von has intonation concerns when accompanied. When a capella ... well, it wasn't pretty. I still am baffled that Scott has him as a part of the PMJ family.

I will state upfront, I am not a huge RADIOHEAD fan. I like a couple of their songs, that is about it. I covered this song on You Tube, but I could not hold a candle to this girl. When I was young, I hated cover tunes....now I love hearing someone take a song and make it something new....

I was disgusted with FACEBOOK yesterday, but at least today I get to start off the day with something COOL!
