Babbs & Penny(+) & Himm2 were at the Midnight Trio gig at El Sombrero last night for all three sets and Patti & Harry chatted at length with us during the set breaks. Harry was still excitedly high from what he termed "the best few days in LA ever!". The 4 days of recording 8 songs for the 6 or 7 song EP at Westlake Studios went extremely well and Harry was thrilled with the outcome and to be working with such world-class people in a world-class studio. Stevie Wonder's Drummer, Jacob, QmZigler, Haley, Harry and a producer that thought what they produced was epic. After hearing Harry's excitement I really looking forward to this sophomore CD to do better than the Interscope created one. "I Belong To You" & "My Cake" will be two that will likely make the cut.
Harry has been almost as busy as Haley these days with an Oscar Sunday flight to LA, all-day recording sessions for 4 straight days & going to a music venue each late night with Haley past "midnight", then friday morning's 4 hour flight home and immediately doing a gig with Peter Quinn an hour drive north of Wheeling, then last night playing with the Trio at El Sombrero followed by Hernia surgery this coming week. He gets a break to recover from that anyway during this month of March so we won't be seeing him perform again for awhile.
The last set last night was hysterical with Tom repeatedly making Patti laugh so hard at her microphone that she couldn't sing and Harry joining in as an inpromptu personal jokes comedy act for the few of us friends that were still left at 1 AM. I was laughing so hard I nearly cried. Fun Fun Night!

Damn...HIMM2...this is so exciting to FINALLY hear that a new EP/CD is coming out from Haley. I will be curious to see how it will be promoted, etc by Ole as without a big label or management, we won't see airplay or Haley appearances on national shows, etc. My hope is that it will sell enough in the first week to chart and maybe some national reviewers/bloggers really love it and word of mouth starts. I also wonder if she will sell physical copies of the EP, or just downloads. Frankly, would love to see a physical CD and some vinyl, even if it is a 45.

I am also glad that Haley is joining the PMJ tour as perhaps it will give her the confidence and the inclination to tour herself, with her own band. Frankly, she could put together a band with Casey and his mates and do a 10 city West Coast tour ("Beauty and The Beard"), and see how it goes. If it goes well, then add more dates. IMHO: Casey and Haley could be the next Sonny and Cher....

Bottom line is that if Haley wants to break through in music world, she needs to put in the time touring and performing. I am not sure if that is her thing though, and her forays into acting and voice over work may indicate she may want to go more in that direction. But who knows. In any case, VERY excited about what happens next with Haley........
