Just a note here..

damn I've listened to a number of Haley's songs from that season again.

I'm not sure if it was an emotional time for me back then .. kids a certain age or an ajustment period in my life or whatever...

... that season was really important to me emotionally somehow. Just a TV show but, it was special and what Haley brought to each song she did was so much what I needed.

I almost cry listening to her covers from that season and I'm not sure what all is wrapped up in it all - some of it was the memory of the episode they were on, because I do remember the context, but ... I love them all.

Haley's season, her journey, quickly became the stuff of legends in my mind. As a long time reader of mythologies from around the world since I was a kid, from Arthurian, to Greek to Egyptian to African to Sumerian, watching Haley's trials and tribulations in that season was watching THE heroes Journey, unfold right in front of me. Every performance, a chapter in the story of her battles to overcome the odds. Turns out, it wasn't only me that was captivated by it, as we see seven years later

I'm glad to see that the supporters of other season 10 contestant's army have finally subsided from injecting "attitude" venom posts on social media making non-committal Idol watchers jump on their bandwagon trying to bring Haley down. Most of those that continued to follow all the top Idols that season have turned around their respect and realized that Haley was the best of that season and that their perception was totally off-base.

Ok was anyone here at the AI forums, and remembers our Haley fan club name there? We had our own before we all became Haliens but I can’t remember what it was.

NUG -I remember fairly early in the season there were a couple of names floated around on Idolforums. One was Halions with a ROAR!! Halions only last a week or two before it was replaced by Haliens but the ROAR!!! was the subtitle for her fan forum there for years. Maybe it still is if it's still there.

idolforums Idol Showcase of only 9 featured Idol Stars is still active for "HALEY REINHART" with 965 topics and 77,596 replies and it still has the (silly) tagline of "Beware of the Lions...RAWR"

I was remembering the Haley Halos, but I might be making that up.
