In my alternate universe, Himm has a big party in his backyard. We haliens are all invited and I get to meet and hang out with all of you. Yay! Haley performs with her full band in a private concert just for us in Himm's back yard. The concert lasts for over 2 hours and she plays all the songs on her album!!.

Himm's out of town...let's just plan it for him. Wait...I think I hear the Haley Yell coming all the way from Himm right now. The guy hears all things Haley and any mention of his backyard.

The private party idea is not so far-fetched. Because weather could be an issue, I would not want to do it outside, say at HIMM's place. But of course, he could hold a pre or post concert party!

Maybe a club or venue in the Wheeling area would want to host it. (They don’t charge Haley for the space as they will make all of their revenue on the bar and the food) Because this would be a die-hard Halien event to support Haley, the ticket prices are high. But, let's say you find a club that can hold 300 people...and the price is $100 a ticket…that's $30,000. And, Haley and team could make up special T-shirts and other collectables from the event for some additional $$$. (“Haleypalooza 2013”) Maybe it becomes an annual event and gets bigger every year? Maybe she could add more local bands to the mix too…?

So…just spinning this idea out to the next level—as I tend to do with things..lol. But I know it would get a huge turnout of not only people on this forum but folks all over her hometown. I know I would make travel plans to visit the Windy City once something like this was set in stone and it would be great to have an official gathering of the Halien Nation in 2013….

I am so down for that!!

I'll tell you, the idea is not so far fetched. I have watched AI since the beginning, and was a huge fan of Melinda Doolittle. She and Phil Stacey were doing a benefit concert in Nashville after their summer tour ended, and a bunch of us fans decided to fly down to meet up at the concert. One of the fans had a connection to her, similar to Himms with the Reinharts, she lived near by where she grew up, was a friend of a friend, etc. She asked Melinda if she'd be willing to come to our hotel where we reserved a conference room and had a little party for her. It was awesome, she came with a friend and her body guard, and stayed all evening singing kareoke, eating, drinking, taking pictures with all of us, chatting with everyone there. I will never forget.

It would depend on if Haley would be willing, and also her busy schedule, but I think if she knew there's nothing to fear from us ( ) , maybe she'd be willing? I mean, we ARE her O.G. Haliens here...you never know!

That's the thing, Tusk. I just don't know if Haley and fam. would even WANT to come mingle with so many of us.

I also should clarify, the whole kareoke thing I discussed, wasn't Melinda performing for us, it was her performing off and on WITH us. Also, although people flew in from all over the world for the party, she isn't as "big" as Haley is, and it was approximately 25 people. total. I think a LOT of people would show for something with Haley...it could be overwhelming.

I bet if there was a party with people coming from all over, Haley would sing for us. On NYE, I asked Haley if she was gonna sing and she said no. A few minutes later, her mom was calling her up on stage. Her parents don't have to sing, but they have to be on our side with wanting Haley to perform for us. then I think she'll do it.

And, I would be willing to go to another city too for a party! If that be the case. Ohhhhhhh let's do it!!!!

Nug, that was very cool that you were able to meet up with Melinda Doolittle. How thrilling for you!
