Joel Eckels shared Haley Reinhart's live video.

This week, i've been working rehearsals with Haley Reinhart and her band for their upcoming European tour. A cover of "Black Hole Sun" has been in the set all week. Of course, the song has much deeper meaning after Thursday morning.

I'm always honored to work with Haley and her incredible talent. This is a bittersweet tribute to a legend that was captured yesterday.

I looked at my phone at 4am this morning and my heart sank...such a huge blow. I don't understand. Chris Cornell was my hero from the day i saw Outshined premier on the Headbanger's Ball in '92 to today. I'm so glad I witnessed his amazing voice in person a few times with Soundgarden and once solo at The Hotel Cafe. I'll never forget that he played "A Day In The Life" as his encore that night. "I read the news today, oh boy..." RIP

Ahh...that's Monika from Room 5/Hotel Cafe...who used to be Casey's videographer but appears to have included Haley in her videoing .... She told me a couple years back that she's been compiling show video for a special project she hopes to be able to produce involving LA Bands....though she says she's had a couple meetings w/ Caley specifically about the project. I'm not sure if she's still intending to do it, it was around the Troubadour show.... she hasn't posted much of what she's recorded so I expect she might be waiting for an OK or the right time.... she had floated that she might be interested in involving me...but we haven't talked since

(She still has the video where she interviewed some of us after Haley's Hotel Cafe show, in the back room, even filmed Rachel's big SMYM card she presented to Haley that night)
