RE: Randy Jackson Out
Like many others, I'm not at all sorry to see Randy moving out of one of the judges spots... I'd prefer that he had nothing to do with the contestants at all, given that I can't imagine (from his "comments" as a judge) what relevant and articulate "help" he might be able to provide.
On the other hand, one of the executive producers of Casey's album is a "Randy Jackson," and as much as, emotionally, I'm loathe to think that it's the same Randy Jackson, intellectually, it makes sense that it is. And if Randy can help Joshua Ledet, or others like a Casey, Joshua, etc. get to record, then this is a good ending.
Like many of you, I still get angered by his unconscionable treatment of Haley, particularly after "Earth Song" and then moments before she was to perform "I (Who Have Nothing), but since the recipient (Haley) of that treatment has chosen not to dwell on that, so I've chosen to follow her example.
Babbs, while I understand your analogy regarding supervisors, Randy does not possess the type of skills that are useful and lead to a better service/product. And stability, just for the sake of stability is not necessarily a good thing. (And I say that while my office is in the process of trying to find a new director, who will have enormous shoes to fill!)

RE: Randy Jackson Out
Im not very happy of what he did with Casey's album... I feel like theres a lot of pop stuff in it and that doesnt match with Casey, only my personal opinion! and all that jazz?.. Hmm.. and abt Idol, the second Simon and Paula left.. the show lacked of some kind of personality, Steven & JLo, for me, were ruled a lot by Randy, TO MUCH ACTING, He wasnt a cool guy anymore.. we lost him when he felt the power, hehehe! .. Im not into the Haley subject cause thats silly.. she's fine, will be a lot better and karma always stands ppl at the right place, sooner or later, Im happy she always step up .. Haley is a rising star, Randy is a backstage rol, he always will be.

RE: Randy Jackson Out
Yoefryyo, do you have some inside knowledge of the degree of Randy's contibution to Casey's album? The term "producer" seems to have a variety of meanings, depending on which medium one is in.
However, Randy was an "executive producer" and, according to a quick Wiki search, which confirmed my assumption, an executive producer deals more with the financial aspect (particularly finding the $$$ to get it off the ground), than the content. So I doubt that Randy had much input on the material that ended up on the CD.
As for your disappointment that Casey didn't release an album that was definitely jazz, I suspect that like Haley, he's trying not to be limited and defined by the genre of jazz.

Ok.. I wont kill Randy for the way he may be involved at the Casey album.. But, whoever add all that pop into it can know that I really didnt like that.. And well, they may tell me.. "who cares what u think" hehehe! so.. thats why I wrote In IMO after what I wrote..
I know that Casey album is being chatered as "a jazz" album, I would like a lot more jazzy direction (even in his voice, my taste).. finally that was the objective of my comment..
Im reading and taking in consideration.. anyway.. what u wrote for me.. I know u r telling mostly the right picture..
