After last night I decided I can't watch this show anymore as it's turned into such a mess, I'd rather just follow it on YouTube and the blogs.

I'm still interested to see if there's ANY chance Lyric 145 or Beatrice is able to fulfill the potential I feel they have....but you're right...Last night's performances were lackluster at best, marginal at least, and dreadful at worst (looking at you CeCe )

....So this is the reason the show was so lackluster, this post on mjs talks about how many of the acts hated their songs, picked by the producers, changing the songs, and barely any help from the 'mentors'

Aspiring acts might want to avoid this particular 'road to fame'....feels like they are more adept at sabotaging a career than it is growing one.

Lyric 145 in particular sounded like they really got screwed
Also sounded like Beatrice has maybe had enough and is starting to get the kindling for some bridges she has her eyes on

.... the world isn't always fair but people can always try to be fair ... and I don't see how its going to make em more money having peformers do things they're less behind.

reminds me of the idol machine and their desire to be in control and have the producers idea of what the most viewers will want be made true by beign sure that contestants that might thrwart their plan look bad.

I don't miss Jennel but I'm really bummed that Lyric 145 was eliminated. I knew they wouldn't win but I expected them to last another week or 2, oh well.

"The producers" who are manipulating the contestants by changing their songs, ect. = Simon. Simon needs to GTFO for this show to improve, and he is a total idiot for screwing over his most marketable act. Lyric 145 could've easily become the new Black Eyed Peas, now they'll probably disband. I think Lyric Da Queen will eventually make it on her own, the other 2 will go back to their lives in Queens.

The latest Reality Check .

After watching that, I watched the complete performance of Amanda Brown singing "Dream On." Seemed to me she was a much more convincing rocker than Jennel. That's probably to be expected as she had performed the song before on the bar circuit and was one of Adele's backup singers at the Grammys.

Michael and Jason's plugging for Beatrice had me reminiscing about them getting behind Haley, two years ago.
(I think the double elimination doesn't give enough time for the audience to get to know the contestants. Lyric145 and Jennel (I was not aboard with her) being gone seems so abrupt.

I know Beatrice will likely be gone within the next two weeks, I just hope she gets the chance to perform a break out song, something that reflects her potential

I've been in the lyric145 camp and although I didn't get vested in Beatrice from day one she's certainly grown on me. Hearing about her spunk about the ugly outfit really has endeared me to her... its always good to feel you can feel like an entertainers has got a little something else to them personality wise... .charm in a way that doesn't necessarily need to be a guest at your dinner table but to be able to get a bit of their positive confidence by watching them be themselves.

I do also think she's got an incredible feel for music.

I've also grown on Carly a lot. I didn't intiially like her mannerisms (petty isn't it) but as we've seen more of her, I've gotten a better idea of the type of 13 year old she is. I've know people in real life that have facial demeanors thath look all to serious and worried but who are actually relaxed and humorous as soon as you start to talk to them.

She's got an incredible voice and I do think that finding the right material that connects her voice to a age appropiate song is a huge huge challenge (which I've felt worked very poorly on idol with 16 year olds...who might have gotten a bit steamy with boyfriends.. whether they should or not.. but is even more offputting by a girl that's still in the last breaths of childhood.

So I guess that would apply to beatrice too but beatrice seems more intersted in other kinds of music that aren't quite so heavy ballads (thing is Xfactor doesn't seem to want "newer" songs - except for here and there).

I think the cowboy has a fine voice and is a charming guy that brings his charm to the lyrics... I don't have any issues with him being very popular.. if I liked the songs he sang and the style people expect from those songs I'd be behind him.. so, I can't be against him.

I just don't get why people like those three boys.. I dont' see the charm or the exceptional voice and think their rhytmyic stuff is way below par for that type of stuff they're doing.

I will say I really disliked this weeks song by jennel and nothing she did really wowed me even if it wasn't bad.

I'm not very intersted in hearing anyone sing there besides Beatrice now. That tatoo guy might have something to him too.. he'd need to distinguish himself with a particular song to bring me over to thinking he's more than a guy that can sing standards.

I'm interested in about 5 of the 10 performers left on the voice...to see how they might grow or even happy with what a few have done so far.

I completely forgot about xfactor tonight until 7:15 when my mom said "isnt xfactor on?" so I only missed the first performance. It's funny b/c I would've never done that for AI S10 when Haley was on for any other show she goes on
